Yn's POV
The cool breeze rolled through the slightly cracked window as I sat in the car, parked by the lake. The soft hum of chill music filled the air—just the right kind of vibe for a moment of solitude. My thoughts drifted, but the sound of my phone buzzing in my pocket broke through the peaceful stillness. At first, I was hesitant to pick up. If it was Sarah, I wasn’t in the mood for more of her drama. But I glanced at the screen and saw Lisa’s name pop up.
I sighed, smiling slightly. It had been way too long since I’d talked to her. So, I swiped the screen to answer.
"Hello!" I greeted her, trying to keep the energy light.
"Y/N!" Lisa’s voice sounded like a warm breeze through the phone. "Finally! I was starting to think you’d become too famous for me."
I rolled my eyes playfully, despite being alone in the car. "Me? Too famous? Come on, you know I’m still just trying to get my coffee before surgery every morning."
Lisa laughed. "Exactly! How’s the world of medicine treating you? Busy as ever?"
"Yeah, you could say that. It's the same old routine—patients, surgeries, drama," I said, leaning back into my seat and looking out at the water. "I barely have time to breathe between shifts, but you know, it pays the bills."
"Sounds glamorous," she teased. "A real rockstar lifestyle."
I grinned. "It’s a tough life. But you know, someone’s gotta do it."
"True," Lisa said, her tone dropping into something more genuine. "But seriously, how’s everything going? Are you good? You sounded a little... off earlier."
I paused for a moment, looking at the lake and the way the sunlight was just starting to fade. "It’s nothing. Just... Sarah and I had a little argument." I hesitated, unsure if I should say more. But I needed to get it off my chest. "She kicked me out of the bedroom. So, you know, typical stuff."
Lisa’s voice softened, concern threading through her words. "Wait, what? She kicked you out? For real?"
"Yeah, for real. I don’t even know anymore, Lis. It’s like we’re stuck in this constant back-and-forth."
She was quiet for a moment, then sighed. "I’m sorry, Y/N. That sounds really draining."
I nodded even though she couldn’t see me. "Yeah, it’s just... I’m used to it. It’s whatever, really."
"That’s bullshit," Lisa snapped, the protective tone in her voice clear. "You deserve someone who makes you feel good, not... whatever that is."
I chuckled softly, appreciating the concern but brushing it off. "I’m fine, really. Just need a little break from it all. Speaking of breaks, how’s your side of the world treating you?"
Lisa’s tone immediately lifted, the playful energy coming back. "Oh, you know. Same old, same old. Fans, concerts, rehearsals... I’ve practically become a caffeine addict at this point. It's the only way I get through the day."
I snorted. "So, basically, you’re surviving on energy drinks and caffeine?"
"Hey, it works!" Lisa said, clearly proud of her routine. "You gotta do what you gotta do, right?"
I laughed. "I guess I can’t judge. We all have our vices."
There was a brief pause, and then Lisa spoke again, her voice bright with excitement. "Hey, so, the girls wanna say hi."
I felt my heart skip a beat. I’d heard so much about the other girls from Lisa, but I’d never had the chance to meet them. "Wait, really? They want to talk to me?"
