a beat in my heart

Igor Woke up from a deep slumber, is eyes fluttering open as the birds chirped like an orchestra outside. Sitting up - which was regrettable in his words - he stumbled out of bed. He couldn't help but think about yesterday, although, he had been happy they had made up. After all he hated being mad at him, but he cared for amber, and it was the right thing to do. Right? He slipped his blazer on, twisting the doorknob only to see Freddie.

"oh-fuck!"

Igor stumbled back, hitting the books and causing them to fall and trample on him. He sat up as he placed the books back awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.

"Why are you in my house!?"

Freddie shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck - realising standing in front of the door was a little creepy. He stepped back to give Igor space as he looked to the side - although he would rather look in his eyes.

"I saw your house so I came in."

He said with a smile, his heart dropping and his face turning red from uneasiness. He was obviously trying to make it less humiliating.
Igor was still puzzled, walking forward into the hallway.

"uh- when did you get here?"

Freddie shrugged once again , walking out before Igor could say anything more.

"Hold on!"

a few hours later, they had arrived at school. They were late because Freddie had forgot everything at his house. (Typical Freddie, if we were being honest).
while walking into school, he looked into Igors eyes... and he felt a beat in his heart. His mocha brown eyes with an entire galaxy behind them. He looked away, trying to hide his obvious stare and blush. What were these feelings? It's not...no...is it?
Freddie looked down at the ground at their shadows, imagining them dancing in the sunlight with a Field full of daises. He wiped his clammy hands on his black, creased trousers.

Igor opened the glass door, accidentally touching Freddie's hand, and suddenly he felt... a beat in his heart. Could it be...Igor liked him? Surprisingly, he didn't turn to denial, unlike Freddie, he expected it. Ever since that moment on the beach...he had felt a spark, like a lighter in his heart. Like the sunrise outside his bedroom window had gave it a piece of itself to his heart, to shine whenever he saw his face.

Igor looked at Freddie, with a soft smile on his face. He...loved him.

Freddie looked at him back, his cold breath making a  cloud in the air as he fidgeted nervously. He...loved him?
