The celebration around them continued, the sound of laughter and music blending harmoniously with the distant chime of wedding bells. Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing found themselves drawn to a quiet terrace adorned with fragrant jasmine flowers, illuminated by soft, flickering lanterns. The ambiance was intimate, providing a perfect backdrop for the deepening bond between them.

Wen leaned against the railing, gazing out at the beautiful view of the decorated venue below, where friends and family danced in joyous abandon. “Isn’t this night just incredible?” he said, a smile breaking across his face. “It feels like a dream!”

Zhou chuckled, enjoying the carefree energy around them. “It really does. I love how everyone is so free and happy, celebrating love in all its forms.”

Wen turned to Zhou, a glimmer of curiosity in his eyes. “Speaking of love, what do you think makes a relationship truly strong?”

Zhou paused, contemplating the question. “I believe trust is the foundation. Without trust, it’s hard to build anything meaningful. Couples need to feel secure with each other, to know they can be vulnerable without judgment.”

Wen nodded, impressed. “That’s a great point. I think trust allows both partners to be their authentic selves. It creates a safe space where they can share their dreams and fears without holding back.”

Zhou’s gaze drifted, recalling his past experiences. “But trust also takes time to develop. It’s built through shared experiences, through understanding each other’s boundaries and respecting them. I’ve learned that open communication is essential, too. It’s important to discuss things openly instead of letting misunderstandings linger.”

Wen leaned closer, clearly intrigued. “I totally agree! It’s so easy for assumptions to creep in and create unnecessary tension. Couples should feel comfortable discussing anything, from their hopes to their worries.”

Zhou smiled at Wen’s enthusiasm. “Exactly! And being open to feedback is crucial. No one is perfect, and we all have things we can improve on. It’s how we grow together as a couple.”

Wen’s eyes sparkled as he responded. “That’s true! Relationships are all about growth—both as individuals and as partners. It’s beautiful to see how people evolve together, supporting each other’s journeys.”

Zhou felt a warmth spreading through him at Wen’s words. “You have such a refreshing perspective on relationships, Kexing. It’s inspiring to hear you talk about love and connection so openly.”

Wen blushed slightly at the compliment. “Thank you, Zishu! I think it’s important to cherish the people we love and to never take them for granted. Relationships require effort, but the rewards are so worth it.”

Zhou's heart raced at the sincerity in Wen's voice. “You’re right. It’s the little things that count—like remembering anniversaries, surprising each other with thoughtful gestures, or even just taking time to listen. Those moments create a deeper bond.”

Wen leaned against the railing, his expression turning thoughtful. “And what about conflict? How do you think couples should handle disagreements?”

Zhou took a deep breath, remembering his own experiences. “Conflict is natural in any relationship. It’s how couples handle it that matters. I believe in addressing issues calmly and respectfully. It’s important to listen to each other’s perspectives, even if you don’t agree.”

Wen nodded, clearly impressed. “That’s a mature way to approach it. I think sometimes, people get so caught up in winning an argument that they forget the goal is understanding each other, not just proving a point.”
