KIYOTAKA AYANOKOUJI
There was something strange about Kushida's behavior, Horikita must have thought she was just there to be inconvenient, since the contract didn't say she should stay away, but only so as not to harm us or the class. And yet... she seemed too restless... the way she was wringing her hands and biting her lower lip slightly showed an amount of nervousness and anxiety that didn't fit in with the atmosphere.
"Suzu-chan doesn't need make-up?"
Suzune clenched her jaw tightly when she heard the unwanted nickname, and took the last sip of coffee left in her cup.
"I don't wear it and you know it, what do you want?"
Kushisa leaned back in her chair and ran her fingers around the mouth of her cup, looking from me to Horikita in an analytical way. Suzune and I exchanged confused glances before Kushida left her cup on the table and stood up abruptly, sighing deeply and running her hands through her hair, messing up her bangs.
"I can't believe those two idiots totally forgot about that"
Suzune opened her mouth to retort, but Kushida held up his finger to silence her.
"The theater performance where YOU," she said, putting her hand on her waist and pointing at each of us, "are the protagonists is at the end of next week."
Horikita froze and so did I, how could that information seem to have been erased from my memory? It was even stranger why Satsuki Shinohara hadn't tried to get in touch, I quickly picked up my cell phone, the battery red as I didn't use it often and always forgot to charge it, I looked at the messages and calls box and indeed, there were a considerable number of messages and calls from her, next to me Suzune seemed to be doing the same, she squeezed her eyes tightly realizing that her notifications were the same as mine.
"Why didn't she try to contact me personally?"
It seems that as soon as Suzune asked the question, she understood why Shinohara hadn't looked for any of us.
"Well... we'll have to work out a training program."
"Rehearsal"
Suzune corrected and I shrugged.
"Anyway, guess who Satsuki-chan left in charge of bringing you two back?"
The smile on Kushida's face sent shivers down my spine and made Suzune sigh heavily before resting her face in her hands. It seemed that her desire to hide her discontent had disappeared just as the peace she had longed for over the next few weeks had vanished.
I, on the other hand, was looking forward to seeing what else the drama club could give us.
"Shall we go shopping Suzu-chan?"
SUZUNE HORIKITA
I was trying, I swear I was.
I'm a patient person, I always have been, haven't I? Well, that's what I was trying to convince myself, but it was getting harder and harder to bear, every time Kushida entwined her arm in mine, or jumped, or smiled, or called me "suzu-chan" or even breathed near me.
