Into the Woods [G/T Oneshots]

SACRIFICE.

REQ: "Is there a way u could do a giant/tiny sacrifice story? what I mean is a tiny girl or boy from a village is sacrificed to a giant of course it would be scary at first but turns out the giant is nice."

Cora's mother gripped her daughter's hand tightly, nervous as they navigated the dark streets of their village. "Mom? Why are you so scared?" She noticed the worried facial expression on her mother's face.

"Ah- it's alright, honey. I'm...alright." Her voice was shaking. Cora stopped walking, noticing the weird set up that was in front of them. Sacrifices were normal in her village, they often gifted the entity that had chosen their forest as a place of rest. The sacrifices often consisted of animal ones, the occasional cow or goat sacrifices.

Villagers often crowded around the sacrifice area, wanting to catch a glimpse of the entity. Any part of it, it became a tradition for everyone to watch. Cora had been observing these sacrifices since she was young, the first one she saw when she was as young as eight years old.

Animals would usually be lined up outside the opening of the forest, the bleating noises of the goats accompanied by the bustling conversations of the villagers. But not tonight, tonight was unusually quiet. She noticed that there were fewer people than usual.

"What's going on...?" She mumbled to her mother, puzzled. Her mother wouldn't meet her gaze, she looked almost...guilty. "Mom?" She asked again, fear began to build in her chest.

"I'm sorry- I'm so, so sorry sweetheart." Her mother broke into sobs, wrapping her arms around her daughter squeezing her tightly. "Please forgive me- I love you, alright?" Her mother said between trembling breaths.

"Mom what- why are you sorry? Tell me what's going on!" She grabbed her mother by the shoulders, still she wouldn't meet her eyes. Without warning, a new pair of hands grabbed Cora and dragged her away.

"Hey- Let me go!" She screamed, kicking and fighting as hard as she could. The pieces started to connect in her head, they were offering a human sacrifice.

"This will go easier if you calm down." The familiar voice of her village leader spoke up, she whipped her head around. The village leader had a remorseful look on his face, she knew what was going on. The realization hit her like a truck and she broke down, the tears wouldn't stop. They were leading her to her demise.

As Cora screamed for her Mom, the men started to tie her up. Her arms were painfully tied behind her, then her feet, she couldn't move at all. No matter how much she moved. She could hear her mother's cries slowly disappear as the other village leaders led her away.

"I hate you! You did this to me and I will never fucking forgive you!" Cora yelled as her mother turned her back on her. How dare she ask for forgiveness after just giving her daughter up?

"Shhh, Shh. My child, you are helping the village. You're a hero."

"I am going to die, how is that heroic?" Her voice trembled, reduced to a pitiful whisper. Never in her life did she think she could end up like this. "You are doing good by your parents. Your sacrifice shall provide the village with many years of wealth and prosperity."

"It's here!" A voice yelled cutting through the tension, the village leader snapped into action. Singing praises as Cora's eyes widened in fear realizing what was happening, the trees shook and the ground rumbled with each step that the being took. It was her end. It was her end, and she couldn't do anything to stop it. A giant hand descended, enveloping the poor girl in its impossibly huge hand.
