Carmen Bradshaw felt herself fill up with nerves as she stood with the awaiting party of the Jedi and Senators. Hands interlocked with one another, her teeth bit down on her bottom lip. A sudden feeling washed over her presence, indicating Anakin's arrival to Coruscant. He's officially here. He walked behind the rat Palpatine, eyes focused on searching the place for what she could only assume to be herself.

It doesn't take long for their eyes to connect and their bond to scream in delight at being so close again. The nerves from before seemingly wash away as she grins widely at him. Seeing him safe and a few feet away caused the stress to slip away. He was stopped short in his way towards her by Senator Organa. She's quick to send reassuring thoughts towards him, letting him know she could wait for the time being.

R2 beeps beside her and she crouches down to gently touch him. "I have missed you. He didn't cause you too much trouble, did he?"

I handled myself pretty well. R2 lightly snickered as if remembering something from earlier.

Anakin is excusing himself from Organa when she stands back up. He took large steps towards her, not caring how desperate he must've looked whilst doing it. "Darling! There are no words to describe how much I've missed you."

They meet each other halfway in a passionate kiss. Pulling away, Carmen smiles brightly, "And I you, my love." She then slapped his shoulder. "Do not be so risky like that again! I will not be able to handle it next time if Obi-Wan came back claiming you to be dead."

"Alright, alright." He clutched the spot she had hit. "Since when have you been so strong?"

Carmen shakes her head, "I'm not sure. Just remember it for whenever you plan on doing something crazy again."

A crazy thought popped up in her brain. Was it the children?

"What was that?" Anakin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, head filling with that passing thought she'd just had.

The blonde woman sighs, "I didn't plan on telling you here. But, now is as good as any I suppose." Her hand moves towards the growing stomach underneath large brown robes. "I'm pregnant, Ani."

His face changed into complete shock. Different emotions circled around inside his body. Excitement, joy, any you could name and they were there. "That's... that's wonderful!"

"Genuinely? You do not think we might not be ready? I mean, we still have this evil sith out there and—"

Anakin is cutting her off from the scared rambling, a finger going to the lips that had moved up and down so many times. "Yes, yes. I am really happy. In fact, this is the happiest moment of my life, darling. We can worry about the rest later."

Carmen nodded, "You're right. I shouldn't put stress on the babies either." She rubs her forehead with the back of her palm as a drop of sweat poured down. These damn robes always caused her to feel hot.

"Did you just say babies? As in, more than one?" If his eyes could pop out of his skull, they definitely would have there.

"Yes. Yoda confirmed it at the Medbay." She watched his face transform into his thinking one. "And... I may have interacted with one of our children in a dream. He kept saying the 'Skywalker children' which means there's more than one growing inside of me. I'm sorry to put all of this on you when you've just arrived."

Anakin takes a seat on a bench a foot away from them, trying to process everything he had just heard. Clutching at his head, he tries to make sense what she had just said. "So not only do we have more than one child coming, you've also had a conversation with one of them. How is that possible?"

She sits beside him and grabs ahold of his hands, bringing them to her belly. "Because they are strong like their father. He must've been able to somehow summon me with the force. I'm not quite sure, my love, but he gave me crucial information. Things that I do not wish to share here in fear that someone might overhear."

"I understand." He nods, rubbing his hand up and down where his children currently resided. "I just cannot believe this is real. That we are to have children." Glancing up at her beautiful eyes he loves so much, he's asking the one thing they both knew he wanted to know. "What did he look like?"

Carmen is giggling softly, "Like the perfect mix between us. He had dirty-blond hair and a perfect mix of our blue eyes. Definitely not our height though."

They're both laughing at that, sharing in the warmth and love of that current moment.

"I love you. So much. And I will love our children with everything I have in me, I promise you that."

Carmen leans her head against his, "I know, and I love you too, my love. You are going to be the best father this galaxy has ever seen."

As long as Carmen succeeds in saving him from the dark side. And now that her children were involved, she was going to fight like hell to make sure it happened.

( AUTHOR'S NOTE : ) hi guys... it's been almost two years and i genuinely apologize. just like how this chapter is short, i'm sorry! i wanted to keep it short and sweet, we will get a bit longer chapters after this one. i think it's taken me this long because i haven't quite been able to get into the star wars fandom in a longgg while. everytime i thought about writing for this story again, i back tracked because if i was gonna write another chapter, i wanted it to be genuine and not rushed, if that makes sense? i also got into k-pop during 2023 and my time was taken up by that and going to concerts. i honestly only wrote for this story again all because of a youtuber named "dylan is in trouble" he reacted to it and me watching him, caused me to wanna write orenda again. i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, please let me know your thoughts. i appreciate them so much! and let me know how i should break the news to anakin about palpatine & westin. i had an idea years ago when i started this, but my dumbass self forgot to write it down 😭 so lmk your thoughts! have a good day everyone!
