I sighed as Camp Half Blood broke through the horizon. It was almost midnight, most of the campers were sleeping. As the winged horses settled down for the night, the Satyrs finished their rounds in the strawberry fields.

The smell of Honeysuckle and roast marshmallows drifted through the winds toward Festus and I. It was so close to being perfect; yet one critical aspect was missing.

It had been two weeks since the big war with Gaea (mother earth, IKR?). Festus (my bronze dragon) was up and kicking, I was alive, and we were almost home. The only aspect that was out of place was my broken heart.

I had planned this for months. Calypso and I were supposed to come back to Camp Half Blood together, as a couple. But as always, things never went my way.

The first half of my plan worked seamlessly. After I used my flame-thrower abilities to scatter Gaea, I was pretty sure that I was as good as dead. Luckily, Festus then delivered the physicians cure in the nick of time, resurrecting my life force . (he da bomb!)

The second half was supposed to be easier. Festus and I would fly to Ogygia in order to free Calypso from her curse. The three of us would be free to go wherever we pleased.

Man, how much my heart ached each and every day I was away from her. Knowing that there was every possibility that my plan could fail, I had pushed through the last few weeks using every bit of hope I had left.

My dream was a little too perfect, for the three of us to travel like the three musketeers; there would be adventure, danger, and a little romance. I was hoping that my heart would finally have a break from heartache, but alas, to no avail.

"Like the three Musketeers," I mumbled, "my butt!"

----------------------------------FLASH BACK------------------------------------------------------------------------

It all began when Festus and I landed on Ogygia to break Calypso's curse. You see, a couple of months ago, I had promised, with all my heart, to come back and free Calypso from Ogygia. Calypso was cursed to remain on the island and fall in love with the heroes who washed up on the island. The thing was, these heroes could never return the love; they would always have to go back home, to their rightful duties.

Since Calypso couldn't leave with heroes who washed up on Ogygia's shores, I had figured that if a hero landed of Ogygia with their own mode of transit, Calypso would be freed. The theory was simple: If a hero arrived willingly to Ogygia with their own way of navigating on and off of the Island, Calypso's curse would no longer be applicable.

"It makes parfect sense!" I would always say.

Using a crystal from the island and a navigation tool of his own design, Festus and I performed a feat that had never been done before; we located the island of Ogygia. No one, in the history of History of Heroes had ever been on Ogygia twice.

Although I was slightly prideful, my heart filled with something else; relief. Relief knowing that everything was going to be alright and that the love of my life would always be there. Or so I thought.

An hour and a tearful reunion later, Calypso and I were back in the air, soaring the skies on Festus. Just when I thought things were looking up, Calypso dropped the F-bomb. (Not the vulgar one, silly)

"Father, I want to see my father." My heart almost stopped.

"It's been centuries," Calypso continued, "my poor father is probably still burdened with weight of the sky, while i'm here, free."

"You sure sunshine?" I asked uncertainly, glancing back.

"As sure as i'll ever be." Calypso replied.

The intensity of her blue eyes made it clear that she wouldn't take no for an answer. Normally, when it comes to meeting someone's dad, I'm perfectly fine. The thing that gave me major NOPE, NU-UH vibes about Calypso's dad was that fact that he is Atlas, the Titan who almost destroyed the balance of the world.

I haven't met Atlas directly, but I do know that the Titan is heartless. A couple of summers ago, Camp Half-Blood had a couple of episodes regarding Atlas. The Titan almost killed Percy and Annabeth, two of my chums. Not only that, but Atlas killed his own daughter, Zoe Nightshade. Knowing hat Atlas killed his one of his own daughters didn't help the fact that we were about to meet him.

Reluctantly, I tap a message onto Festus's Bronze back, take us to Mt. Othrys big guy. And yes, my dragon can understand Morse code; deal with it.

We flew in silence, Calypso's warm body against mine and her delicate hands around my middle. I leaned into her and let myself drift off, warm thoughts flooding my body. After months of toil, I finally felt complete.
