The whole three hours, I didn't sleep a wink. I kept on thinking of what the Titan had said. Free the fool -  surely the fool was narcissus; Break the curse - this had to be Echo's curse of repeating the last words of what anyone said;  Conjoin two broken hearts - Echo and Narcissus? Then why had Atlas warned me that love could bite me in the back?

Festus began descending closer to the lake, my heart dropped to my stomach. There, by the lake sat Echo distraught as ever. Her striking blue eyes found me in the sky and lit up like a disco ball. She waved us over and pointed to a figure hovering over the lake - Narcissus. He was still admiring his reflection and swooning over himself. Seriously? The dude needed to get a life. If he kept this up, he might end up marrying himself.( is that even possible? )

Festus tried his best for a smooth landing, but it still felt like we were sledding through an avalanche. (I've tried it, NOT fun) Quickly, I handed the  ambrosia squares and nectar to Calypso. Her face was swirling green. Gingerly, I helped her off Festus and sat her down.

She nibbled the celestial food, and almost instantly looked better.

"Thanks." she muttered as she handed me the food. I noted she still wasn't meeting my eyes.

" Be right back sunshine!" I tried to sound cheerful, but confusion kept tugging at my gut.

I trudged over to Festus and began to unload. Before I could put the first bag on the ground, two blue eyes scared me pantless- literally. I was so startled, my suspenders unhooked and my pants fell to my ankles.

"LO AND BEHOLD WORLD," I decided to make the best of the situation, " RUBBER DUCKY BOXERS!!"

I tried to play it off cool, but my red face said otherwise. Do you know how hard it is for tanned skin to look red? That just goes to show how much I was embarrassed.

" Rubber Ducky Boxers!" Echo kept chanting, she was doubling over with laughter. If she had been crying from heartbreak earlier, now she was tearing up from pure laughter.

"Ha ha, very funny little Miss. Cockatoo." I retorted.

"Miss. Cockatoo!" Echo repeated her laughing fit coming to an end.

As I unloaded Festus, I took advantage of Echo's Curse.

"Leo is da BOMB!" I gloated.

"Leo is da bomb." Echo repeated quite unenthusiastically

       " HELLOO MR.MCSIZZLE!" I hollered

"Hello Mr.Mcsizzle." Echo growled, annoyance obvious in her eyes.

She didn't need to speak for me to understand what she meant. Hurry up and get your butt over there Mr. Valdez.

" Alright, Alright, FINE!" I said, putting my hands up in defeat. She giggled and proceeded to help me unload. I led Echo over to Calypso and introduced them.

"Calypso, meet Echo" - I gestured with my hands- "and Echo meet Calypso."

     "Calypso" Echo repeated, ginning.

"Hello." Calypso greeted, a far away look in her eyes.

" Hey Echo, umm we're here to break some sort of curse" I tried.

"Break some sort of curse!" She repeated frantically. She kept on gesturing toward the lake and toward Calypso. Why was she pointing only to Calypso?

"Wait, so Calypso is meant to break this curse" I asked. I'm not liking where this is going

" Calypso is meant to break this curse!" Echo repeated, ecstatic that she was able to get her point across. I glanced at Calypso, she was gazing longingly at the lake. OK now I really don't like where this is going. I decided to dare for one more question.
