Perry has always hated thunderstorms, ever since she was little. She never let LaFontaine know though, because she found it embarrassing. However, this particular storm was making her especially jumpy. She was sitting ridged on her bed, hugging her knees to her chest. She just wanted morning to come. Everything seems so much scarier at night. Suddenly, thunder clapped loudly, causing the nervous redheaded girl to whimper.

"Hey, Perr, you ok?" LaFontaine murmured sleepily. "Uh, yeah, why do you ask? Go back to sleep," Perry replied nervously. Boom. Thunder rumbled, causing her to jump. "Perry, are you afraid of thunderstorms?" LaF asked their childhood best friend. "A little," Perry muttered, a little ashamed. LaFontaine got up from their bed and moved to Perry's bed, putting their arm around her shoulders. "Hey, it's OK. Nothing is going to hurt you," they whispered soothingly, taking her hand and gently rubbing it.

Perry yawned and put her head on LaF's shoulder, and fell asleep within a few minutes. LaF sleepily kissed her on her forehead. "I will always protect you, Perr," they vowed quietly.
