I texted Caleb "Hey babe, where are you right now?" I added the heart eye emoji, because apparently your emoji's tell more about what you're trying to say than the words themselves. He responded within a matter of seconds "Hi gorgeous, I'm waiting for you in the courtyard. I have a surprise!" he added a wink and heart eye emoji. Anastasia looked over the messages and approved. "Job well done." she said with her vexatious tone. We walked over to the courtyard where my hunk of a guy was waiting for me and honestly it just goes to show that Anastasia's opinion doesn't matter. When she is asked why she doesn't have a boyfriend she says she's into high school guys and doesn't want to be tied down. Caleb had his hands behind his back and I as I was face to face with him he pulled out a gorgeous bouquet of flower and a card. I was swooning at the sight of it! I pulled him in for a hug and nuzzled my head into his shoulder. I looked up straight into his eyes and I could feel the connection between us. "Caleb this is beautiful, thank you." I said almost whispering. We changed our positions and sat at the picnic tables outside of the lunch room. He motioned for me to open the card. I bit my lip nervously as I opened it up. It read " Dear Aria, you are the most gorgeous girl I've even seen, I am so glad that you are mine. I have 7 roses for you to find. By the end I hope you're mine." I looked at him with a confused expression. One breath. Two breath. Three breath." It's a scavenger hunt, you'll see when the bell rings." he said with a mischievous smile that could make me melt.As if one cue, the first hour bell rang.
I walked upstairs hand and hand with Caleb and sure enough, there was my friend Alex standing with a red rose in her hand. She smiled and handed it to me. Everyone in the hall stared and some were even recording. I grabbed the rose and thanked her. It had a note attached that said "Here's one step closer to the end. Your beautiful. I'm glad to call you my girlfriend." I blushed a little at that one. Caleb smiled at me and we entered first hour together.
I honestly couldn't even concentrate. I was anticipating receiving my next rose. By half of the class period I was able to take a couple notes on the rules of geometry. The teacher handed us worksheets and I finished in 10 minutes. My paper had perfectly neat script. We started to go over the answers and the teacher called on me to right number two on the board. I agreed and as I walked up to the front he handed me another red rose. I blushed tomato red as the whole class let out an "OOOOOOOOOOO" and some" AWWWWWW's." I thanked the teacher and put the problem on the board then scurried to my seat as fast as my legs could go in the romper. I read the tag "Step two, only five more to go. Are you nervous?" One breath. two breath. Three breath. Omigosh. I'm going to pee my pants. Class was over and we went to second hour. In front of my locker was Giana, another one of my friends, with two roses in her hand. This tag said " I'm speeding up the process just cause ily." We went into second hour and did regular school stuff. We had to write essays on what we are planning to do over the summer. Which starts in just a week! A group of girls came up to me and asked me about the roses. I told them about Caleb's sweet gesture. They had envious expressions and told me how lucky I was to have a guy like him. Hearing that gives me anxiety. One breath. Two breath. Three breath. There had no sight of Caleb in the hallway. He literally zoomed out of class.
I eventually got the rest of my roses and it was lunch time. When I got to our usual seat Caleb was waiting for me with a huge crowd of people. He took me hand and got on his knee like a movie scene. "Will you go to the 7th grade prom to me?" I literally started crying. I can't believe he went through all this trouble. I looked at him and all the other people around us. I said yes! He shot up and hugged me and screamed "She said yes!" I am so lucky. I sat with him at the popular table. Anastasia, Giana and Alex were talking about Caleb and I. Everyone was happy for me except for Ana of course. I sat down beaming and it was like she smacked the smile right off my face.I am done with her right now.My anxiety is through the roof and my heart feels heavy in my chest.
