Chapter 3: M&Ms (Isa's POV)

Oh gods. I hate such long flights. The 6-hour flight has been eating me up alive. I have been shuffling through M&Ms since I got on the plane.

By the way, I meant Music and Movies, but I'm still at loss anyway. Why do I never find anything of my taste? Be it a boy or be it any form of entertainment. Fuck why am I being so weird? I am so bad with words. And surprise surprise! I'm going for studying English, my foot. Does it make any sense to you? Nope, not to me either.

Finally. Atleast they have my favourite Hindi movie here.

"Miraine let's rewatch Radhe Shyam."

"No, please Rave, I can't afford to haul your crying ass out of a plane today. It's embarrassing as well as tiring sweetie."

Ouch. Okay.

Nevermind. I'd just watch it on my own then.

Well the movie is about fate, as in, rewriting our fate. There's this guy who is a renowned palmist and whatever he says, matches word to word. Like, it's as if he spills future itself. Billionaires from all over the world hire him to get to know about their futures. One he and his girlfriend were on a train where an elderly man recognised him and requested him to read his palm. The girl too proudly told everybody that he's a renowned palmist, not knowing that it would be creating an uproar. He had to read everyone's then, one by one. Finally he read the palm of that elderly man's daughter. She was a teenager and didn't believe in the process of future prediction. She loved archery but the palmist told her to focus on her studies as he wasn't able to see her future in archery. She was supposed to lose her right hand.

After he got down from the train with his girlfriend, he realised that all those people, who's hands he just read, had the exact same time and place of death. He concluded that the train would get derailed any minute now. Out of fear and hope, he tried his best to save them by changing the track of the train, but the accident got caused anyhow. His girlfriend did not trust his palmistry earlier, but after this incident? She did.

Later on, that teenaged girl came to meet the palmist and showed him that she didn't have her right hand anymore. She said, "Sir, now that I don't even have my right palm, how would you read my future may I know? How would you read a future that's not even written? You don't have anything to read from, now. And I promise you, I will write my future on my own with the things I love. Mark my words."

This had hit me quite deep. Not always things go as they are pre-planned. Things take turns of their own.

All is 99% science, that 1% is in our own hands.

Fate can be changed.

And the day I watched it, damn, my old perspectives swiftly changed into the above. I will not tell the entire story, see it for yourself, it's really beautiful.

My nazariya regarding life itself, changed.
