chapter 30: he's here

Ashley's pov:

"Ash", the voice said

My eyes shot wide open. There's only one person who calls me by that name.
I lifted my face up, and looked at the mirror. And there he was..

"Ace",I said, as I turned to face him completely
"You look gorgeous mamacita",he said.
He sounded genuine, he looked like he cared, but that is just a facade he puts on
"What are you doing here?",I asked, trying to hold my tears back
"You still like slit dresses I see", he said
"I said, what are you doing here",I said sternly
"I wanted to see you before I go",he said, taking a step towards me
"Ace don't!", I warned.
But he kept on coming towards me
"Ace I said don't", I warned yet again, but he didn't stop
His hand found its way on my cheek, and all the tears I held came rushing down as I closed my eyes, savoring his gentle touch
"I'm sorry Ashley",he softly said.
I wanted to believe him, but nothing really ends well when I trust him
"Ace please don't",I panted.

He cradled my face, drawing me closer.
Then, he smashed his lips into mine.
Tender and yet so fiery, I ended up doing something that I thought I would never do ever again...I surrendered to him

The fire inside of me ignited, and I felt it running through my veins. I wanted more of him. He picked me up and put me on top of the bathroom counter, then he rested his one hand on my exposed thigh. His touch sent shivers down my spine.

Desire swirled, a maelstrom of longing and lust took control over me, our kiss deepening every second.
I ached for him, I wanted this, but my sanity prevailed

I pushed him away from me, and slapped him
"Get out!", I said, tears welling up in my eyes
"Ashley please don't", he begged
"Please Ace, just go and never come back", I said, turning my back on him

He moved back, and opened the door, but before he went out, he uttered, "all I want, all I ask for, is for your forgiveness", then he left

As the door shut closed, I broke down. I let him go, I know it's for the best but why am I hurt, shouldn't I be happy?
I just got rid of the most toxic person in my life, so why am I not happy?

"Ma'am, Zayn is looking for you", a female voice said
I quickly got up and wiped my tears away.

I opened the door, and then..

Bam! I blacked out

Ace's pov:

I had her in my arms, but it didn't even last. I got to speak to her for the first time in three months, but she despises me.
Of course she does, why wouldn't she?, after all, I deserve it

"Ace!", Claws called out to me, "-you are here?",he asked
"I had to come and see her",I replied
"And I'm guessing Cruise is also here",Claws asked
I nodded

"What did she say?",Claws asked with concern
"She hates me", I said disheartened.
"She will come around", Claws said.
If someone told me that three months ago, I would have believed it, but now, I'm not so sure anymore

"Claws", Cruise yelled out, "-or should I say Mr Zayn Ratiavale?", Cruise said, with a devilish smirk
"Please, it's bad enough that everyone calls me by that name, not you too", Claws said.
Cruise laughed, "I see you've charmed everyone here with your acting skills"
"What can I say? I was born a charmer, it's in my blood",Claws said

"Ace are you looking for something?", Cruise asked
"I'm just looking out for Ashley, if she finds us with Claws, she will start to question things",I said
"She has been in the bathroom for a very long time, I should go check up on her", Claws said.
I nodded, approving of his decision. Claws left and Cruise saw an opportunity to just annoy me.

"She slapped you hard", Cruise uttered.
"I'm not in the mood", I warned
"Yeah, of course you aren't", he rolled his eyes

I took a sip of wine, and after a couple of minutes, Claws came down

"Ace we have a problem", Claws said, looking all tensed up
"What?", I asked taking another sip of wine from my glass.
"Ashley isn't in the bathroom, nor is she with Josh",Claws said.
"What?!!!", I exclaimed, "-what about Lea?", I asked hesitantly
"Lea is there", Cruise said, pointing to Lea,"-Ashley isn't ",he added
"Scatter around and look for her", I ordered
"Sure thing", Cruise and Claws said.

I pushed through the crowd, and I searched for her. Bathroom, lounge, hallway, bedrooms, balcony, everywhere, but she was nowhere to be seen

I saw Cruise, and marched up to him.
"Any luck?", I asked
"No", he said, panting.
Claws saw us, "did you guys find her?", he asked
"No", Cruise replied
I shook my head

I started panicking, fear was consuming me, then I received a call.
"I'm busy call later", I said as I was about to hang up..
"Even busy for Ashley?", the voice said.
"Who the fuck is this?", I asked
"You don't even recognize my voice? Ouch, I'm hurt", the voice said.
"Aliba", I said in shock
"Now that's right. I was just checking up on you, see you later buddy", he said
"Aliba bring ba..",I was about to state, but he hung up

"Who was that?", Claws asked
"Aliba Colenia, my rival",I stated
"Don't tell me that motherfucker has Ashley",Cruise said
"He has her Cruise", I said, with every inch of my body trembling.

I know the type of person Aliba is, he is a ripper, he wouldn't think twice before killing Ashley just for fun.
"Claws you are an investigator, track him down", Cruise commanded
"I can't, he called with an unidentified mobile number",Claws said
"So you are telling me that nothing can be done?", Cruise asked with frustration .
"Even if he didn't call with an unidentified number, Aliba is too smart, he wouldn't have called with his phone. So basically we would have gone around tracking a phone that we would probably find in a local street", I said,"-that's Aliba for you"

•so Ashley and Ace met each other after a very long time, and they kissed
•Ashley slapped Ace
•Ashley is kidnapped ..apparently
•But can we talk about the fact that Zayn is Claws, and he does not only know Ace and Cruise, but he fuckin'  works with them
•And who the fuck is Aliba?
