VII

I live next to a lake.

I live with a dog and 3 cats.

It was the life I've always wanted.

free from anything.

no judgment.

no war.

just peace.

I went out to my garden to harvest.

That's when I saw her.

butterflies roamed around her.

birds singing on her shoulders.

her laugh echoed.

she spotted me and gave me a warm smile.

I felt a sharp pain in my heart.

like my heart stopped working for a moment.

It wasn't for a bad reason.

it was probably my heart stopping all the noise just to listen to her laugh.

we walked around my home.

talked near the lake.

fishing there.

only catching some small fishes.

and she loved the swing.

she told me she lived about 400 meters from me.

she was on a walk when she saw my garden.

"It looks like your garden was taken care of by an angel."

"It definitely was."

that made my heart flutter.

it was like my heart developed wings just to fly to her.

it was becoming dark and she finally went home.

I went into my room hugging a pillow.

my feet were kicking and I caught myself smiling.

I probably scared my pets off.

This wasn't normal for me.

I talked to my cats about how amazing she was.

they got tired of me.

the next day I saw her sitting on my bed.

I jumped back hitting my head.

"you're finally awake!"

she was laughing like a kid.

I couldn't help but laugh back.

my pets were circling her like she took care of them.

I asked her why she was here.

she just smiled and pulled me out the door.

we were playing, running around like little
kids.

even getting dirt on us.

we swam in the lake.

The lake was as clear as glass.

I felt a hand grab me by the foot.

It dragged me down.

then I felt soft lips on mine.

It was hers.

her arms wrapped around my hips.

we forgot we were even underwater.

after we realized, we quickly surfaced.

laughing and giggling.

we swam back up and laid down on a rock.

our hands holding each other like ropes.

we stayed until dark.

the lake reflects the stars.

toads singing.

stars shining.

she was shining brighter than any of them though.

we were harvesting my garden.

she got scared by a mole.

she jumped in my arms.

i picked up the mole and chased her with it.

I was laughing while she yelled at me.

I never saw myself as a loving person.

but here we are.

I walk up to her.

my heart is beating fast.

she looked at me as beautiful as ever.

I smiled warmly.

as the person beside us said.

"do you take her as your forever loving wife?"

I'd easily go to hell knowing im married to an angel.
