I came from a rich and influential family in Daegu. Unlike my older brother I was as free as a bird. I didn't have any burdens to bear because my brother would've inherited everything. I love music it has always been my passion and I even majored in it much to the dismay of my parents.
Yoon Jeonghan, he was my right-hand man since childhood, my confidant, my comrade. We made up for each other's faults I had the brawn while he had the brains. That's why when it happened I was able to get back up....because he was there. I still remember it clearly, the rain poured outside as I hurried back home from Seoul. Jeonghan was in the passenger seat and music was blasting from the radio. Jihoon made a mix tape of songs he composed as we listened in silence. However, I couldn't stop this gut wrenching feeling in the pits of my stomach that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. I pressed on the gas hoping to get home faster. "Seungcheol, do you want me to call them again?" Jeonghan asked from beside me I could tell he read my thoughts as I slowly nodded.
I had just called them ten minutes ago but even hearing my parents and brother's reassuring voices didn't help my unease. I turned off the music listening to the dial of the phone it rang for a while before they finally picked up, or so I thought. "Choi Seungcheol, or S.Coups... it seems I finally have the pleasure of talking to you in person." an unknown person's sneering voice came from my mother's number. Jeonghan glanced at me in shock as I drove faster towards home my heart beating uncontrollably as my hands gripped on the steering wheel.
"Who are you?" I growled. The person instead chuckled and ignored my question "I left a masterpiece for you back home. I hope you enjoy it..." and then the call cut. We finally arrived home as I slammed on the brakes quickly arming myself. Jeonghan reached for the car door but I quickly stopped him. "Stay here Jeonghan, you'll only drag me down."
"No, Seungcheol, I may not be the best in a fight but you can't fight alone. We don't know how many there are." Jeonghan said and I knew that I couldn't do anything about it so I hesitantly nodded my head. We quickly made our way inside we passed the entrance only to see both of the guards dead head-shots to the both of them. I closed their eyes clenching my fists whoever did this will pay. We searched the entire house but there were no signs of my parents or brother only the dead bodies of our guards and staff were cruelly strewn over our house. "S.Coups..." Jeonghan's voice quavered as he pointed at our family portrait on the wall.
My gun clattered as I stood there aghast at twisted image. There they were their naked corpses hung up on the family portrait brutally dismembered and mangled beyond recognition. The only indication of their identities was how they were placed on the portrait the empty spot was where I was in the picture. The once happy moment was now forever painted red. I should've been there too...
I dropped to my knees an anguished cry escaping my throat as I sobbed uncontrollably the pain was unbelievable it felt like a knife was stabbed into my chest scratching my heart before forcibly pulling it out of my body. I reached for my gun my sight blurred, breathing heavily and I cocked it aiming it straight at myself.
"SEUNGCHEOL!!!" Jeonghan lunged at me screaming the bang of a gun echoed through the room as I snapped to my senses. I held Jeonghan who was groaning in pain I removed my hand from his chest bright red blood staining my hands. My blood ran cold this can't be happening I called for help and the rest of what happened was a blur, help came and all of the bodies were taken away. Jeonghan was rushed to the hospital where he was immediately sent for emergency surgery he suffered a serious injury. The doctors recommended him to not engage in any strenuous exercise and to not become too excited as it would put him at risk.
I was a mess of guilt, agony, flooded me but the strongest emotion was rage. I wanted to find that man and give him so much pain that he wished I would kill him. All I could think of was what I would do with him once I got his hands on him. In my eyes he wasn't the only guilty one his entire family should suffer his parents, his siblings, his spouse, even his daughter....
My family are my members Jeonghan, Jisoo, Jun, Soonyoung, Jihoon, Wonwoo, Minghao, Mingyu, Seokmin, Seungkwan, Hansol, and Dino. They decided to follow me in my path of revenge. I no longer dream of creating music instead we're going to make an empire where we alone stand on the top. I'll give them everything they'll ever desire even the world and I'll cherish them every moment. Just watch me Eomma, Appa, Hyung... I'll take your place and carry your burdens and I'll make sure that you'll be able to rest in peace.
Only... I'm sorry because the place you are I'll never be able to go because I'm willing to hurt innocent people just to cut down a single man...
