Kamala pulled out my seat for me as we walked to the dining room table. "You're such a gentle woman." With a playful glance back at her from the table, I said.

"I know, but only for you." The food smelled amazing, and I could hear her preparing our plates. I was trying to ignore the unsettling thought of Doug returning so quickly since I didn't want to ruin our night. I heard Kamala coming back to the dining room with our plates in hand.

"Close your eyes first, Okay?"

"Why do I have to close my eyes when I already know one of the things you cooked?" I said, folding my arms and leaning back in my chair playfully.

"I know that smarty pants but you didn't get to see the rest of it, so please listen and close your eyes for mommy."

With my back to her, I couldn't see her face, but I could tell she was smirking. I didn't fight further since I couldn't help myself when she said that mommy word. "Okay, fine I'll close my eyes."

With excitement, she pulled out her seat and set our plates on the table. "Are you ready?" She spoke in a deep, seductive voice.

"Depends on what you're asking." I knew she'd pick up what I was laying down.

"You and your dirty mind."

Hey, It's not my fault you're the finest president alive."

"Alright, Alright. Open your eyes now."

When I opened my eyes, I saw the table filled with delicious food. I was at a loss for what to pick because there was so much."Kamala, this looks incredible. This is what kind of chicken?"

"This is my famous roast chicken. I made mashed potatoes, greens, sweet rolls, German chocolate cake, and my homemade lemonade."

"I gotta give it to you, Madam Vp, you ate this." She looked over at me and burst into laughter. I couldn't help but to laugh either because seeing her happy makes me happy.

"I think it's safe to assume that I did. I tried a different ingredient this time, so I want you to try this chicken first." Taking a knife from the table, she started slicing into the chicken. The mere sight of it truly made my mouth water. "Here, try it." She fed me by hand, putting the chicken in my mouth with her fork.

She was waiting for my response with that broad smile on her face, and to be honest, it was the greatest chicken I had ever tasted in my life. "This is really amazing. I need more, like right now."

"You like that, huh?"

"I love it. Is there anything you can't do?"

"There is actually. I don't know how to play video games and I really want to learn." I looked up from my plate with a raised eyebrow.

"What kind of games?"

"You know, the ones on the television that connect to a box."

"A box? You mean a PlayStation?"

"Yes, that's the one."

I tried to contain my laughter by forming a thin line with my lips."You're in luck since I have one at home and can teach you. But I will warn you: I'm not sure if I will let you win so easily if you're up against me."

"Is that right, dear?" She tilted her head to the side with her hand resting on her chin.

"That's right, Madam Presi." I sat up in my seat slightly, showing off my confidence.

"Well I love a good challenge so we'll see how this goes."

We heard a shout from upstairs, which cut off our conversation. In the middle of chewing, our eyes widened, and we simply stared at each other while speaking in silence. "What was that?" I asked, feeling a little anxious.
