As we walked out from the balcony bringing back our composure, we both split ways continuing our night. I could feel her glances on me from time to time. I couldn't help but smile knowing the moment we shared was only between us two. As I began walking to my seat, I could see Allie chatting with a few people from work. I didn't want to interrupt so I scrolled on my phone for a bit.

A few hours later

The party had came to an end with Kamala thanking her guests for coming and saying her goodbyes. By the this point I felt exhausted and I was ready to go home. Allie turned to me yawning, clearly tired as well. After everyone left for the night, there was only us three left.

"Are you ladies ready to go home?" She said with the slight smirk tugging at her lips as she eyed me.

"Actually, we are we're pretty tired from the party." Allie said. trying to contain her yawns.

Never taking her eyes off of me, Kamala swiftly pulled up a chair beside us. Oh here we go, I thought to myself rubbing my temples with my finger. "I'm glad you two had a great time. Any plans after this?" She cut her eye at me for a second too long before turning her gaze back to Allie. She was so slick with it and I knew exactly what she was doing.

Allie's tiredness seemed to fade a little from the question, her face lighting up. "Me and Beth actually have a girls night planned after this. We're gonna do all kinds of things."

Kamala had the most intrigued look on her face. "Oh really? That sounds so exciting Allie. But unfortunately, I need Beth to assist me tonight with my upcoming schedule. I hope you can understand."

My mouth wanted to fall open. I felt so bad for what was happening, Allie really wanted to spend time with me but she couldn't because of Kamala's toxicity. She turned to me with an understanding look but I could tell she was really disappointed.

"No worries, we can always plan it for another time."

I was going to extend my hand out to reach for hers as an apology, but before I could; I felt Kamala quickly grab my hand and place it back down to my lap. We were sitting pretty close so Allie didn't see it but why did it turn me on a little bit? Given how I feel about her, I'm convinced she's worked some kind of magic on me.

Allie stood up reaching for her keys. "It is getting pretty late so I think I'm gonna call it a night. Be safe out there you two."

"You too Allie, I'll see you tomorrow." We both flashed her a smile before turning back to face each other.

"Really, Kamala?" I looked at her trying to be upset but it was always hard for me.

Putting a pout to her lip, she looked at me with the puppy dog eyes. "What?"

"That was pretty fucked up to just dismiss Allie and cancel our plans like that."

"Dear, I don't feel bad for taking back what's mine. Plus, I have better plans for us tonight anyway."

She stood to her feet extending out her hand for mine. I looked up at her hesitant at first but I grabbed her hand anyway. "Where are we going, Madam President?"

"We're going back to my house, unless... you want my driver to take you back home?"

She knew damn well I wanted to go with her but I wanted to mess with her a little bit. "Yeah I think I'm gonna back home tonight." She turned to face me looking like she had just seen a ghost. I couldn't help but to laugh my ass off at her face.

"I'm just messing with you, of course I wanna go home with you silly."

She flashed a sarcastic smile, a slight smirk tugging at her lips. "Very funny, you were coming anyway."
