Evangeline's POV
I was sitting in the waiting room as the doctors dealt with my mama. I was at home when she collapsed out of nowhere. I called the ambulance and my daddy, so here we are. My daddy is sitting beside me.
"Did you call uncle Rick?" I lean my head on his shoulder.
"Yeah. I also called Sahara. She said that she should be here later tonight."
"I hope you don't mind, but I called Jayden and Angelica."
"No, sweetheart. I could never be mad at you. You need comfort, just as much as I do."
We wait for another ten minutes before Jayden arrives. He pulls me into a huge hug and I let the tears run down my face.
"Hey Mr.-"
"Evan." my dad smiles at him.
"Evan, I hope your wife gets better." he sits down.
"If she doesn't both me and Evangeline, are fine with that. It means that she doesn't have to suffer anymore, though it will be sad and will never go away, we'll understand. God will decide to take her or not."
"Yeah, I will always feel this pain if I lose my mama, but at least she won't be suffering." I sit down and hold both of their hands.
"Bae!" I hear someone coming down the hall.
"Angie, down here." I call when I see her."
Soon her, Peanut, Pookie, and Tay Tay are where we are sitting at. Each one of them hugs me and my daddy before sitting down.
"How long has it been since you brought her here?" Angie ask.
"About an hour or so." I tell her.
"If you need anything, I'm here for you." Angie pulls me into a hug.
"I know you will, I love you." I squeeze her tighter.
"I love you too." she goes back to her seat.
After that, we all just sit in the waiting room in silence. My aunt Sahara, her kids, and her husband arrive at the hospital not too long after. We all say our greetings, and soon my uncle Rick and Patricia arrive. We wait for another hour, when her doctor finally comes out of her room.
"Family of Mrs. Willams." she says.
"Yes?" my daddy walks up to her.
"I'm sorry, but your wife's cancer has progressed to a stage where there is nothing else we can do." she informs us.
Tears form in my eyes, "Is she awake?"
"Yes, she is. You may see her But only two at a time for now." she tells us.
I walk up to my daddy and give him a hug. Me and him go into her room to see her. I give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. My daddy gives her a hug and a kiss on the lips.
"Hey, how are you cupcake?" my mama looks at me.
"I'm sad, but I'll be ok." I hold her hand.
"I know you will." she touches my face, "I love you."
"I love you too mommy." I wipe a tear from my cheek.
"Can you give me and your daddy a moment alone?"
"Yeah, I will." I give her a hug.
"How is she?" my aunt asks.
"She's talking, but we know that it's going to be worse latter on." I tell her.
"I always thought that since I am her older sister, that I could protect her from anything, but I can't." my aunt cries.
"Nobody saw this coming, and you know that mama wouldn't want us crying about something we have no control of." I wipe her tears.
"I think that you should go see her." my daddy comes out the room.
"Ok." my aunt gives him a hug before going in to see my mama.
"I'm going to stay here with your mama. I want you to take your aunt and them to the house, if they want to sleep there." my daddy sits beside me.
"But I want to stay here with mommy."
"You have a little Bandit to take care of." he tells me.
"Alright. Jayden, do you mind taking me home?"
"Not at all." he stands up.
I tell my friends and my daddy bye. We leave the hospital and my family follows Jayden to my house.
"It's going to be tight, but it's going to have to do." I say as we walk to the door.
"It's okay. We want to be close." my aunt says.
I open the door and everyone comes in. I turn on the lights and Bandit comes running up to me. I pick him up and have everyone sit on the couch.
"King and Queen can sleep with me. Aunt Sahara and uncle Cole can sleep in mama's and daddy's room. Uncle Rick and Patricia are going to have to sleep in the living room." I go to the kitchen to get dog food.
"What's his name?" Queen pets Bandit.
Her and King are twins. They turned six two months ago.
"Bandit." I tell her.
"Evangeline, can I talk to you?" Jayden asks.
"Yeah." I nod my head, "Will you and King watch him for me."
"Yeah." she takes him from my arms.
"What is it?" I ask Jayden as we go into the kitchen.
"I really just wanted to do this." he pulls me into a hug.
I stay in his arms for what felt like hours. All he does is hold me and nothing else. We don't kiss, don't let our hands roam, and we don't say anything. He holds me and I hold him.
"Excuse me." a voice breaks our moment.
"Yes." I look at my aunt.
"I was trying to see if there was something to eat."
"I would have to cook it and I thinks it's to late for that." I explain.
"We can go to McDonald's." Jayden suggests.
"Yeah, just get everyone to write what they want down and Jayden and I will go get it." I say.
"By the way, are you two a couple?" she asks.
"Yeah, we are." I kiss his lips.
"Ewww!" two voices exclaim.
We laugh as we see King and Queen's faces. We get their orders and go get the food. We bring it to them and Jayden leaves. I help everyone get situated before King, Queen, Bandit, and I go to sleep in my bed.

I saw these two little kittens yesterday. They were a very light orange and had these big blue eyes. I want one now.
