Late at night, Jungkook's room was dim, lit only by the soft glow of her bedside lamp. She moved through her nightly routine, hoping it would ease the heaviness in her heart. She filled her bathtub, adding a hint of strawberry shower gel as she always did.

Sliding in, she let the warm water surround her, trying to wash away the tension from the day, but no amount of warm water or bubbles could soothe her.

Her heart still ached from Mr. Kim's harsh words. "Your notes are sloppy, and you're lazy." The memory of his voice weighed on her mind, and she sighed, dipping her head back as if she could drown out the memory.

After a long soak, she finally stepped out, drying herself and slipping into her favorite brown-colored nightgown.

The soft, silky fabric was usually comforting, but tonight, it felt like just another reminder of her vulnerability.

She brushed her teeth, combed her long, dark hair carefully, then rubbed lotion into her skin, her hands moving in slow, distracted circles. Each movement was done without her usual cheerfulness; she felt as though she was moving in a fog.

Downstairs, she sat at the dinner table, picking at her food as her parents shared glances of concern. They noticed the dim look in her usually bright, lively eyes, and the way her bubbly cheeks seemed to have lost their rosy glow. But they chose to wait, knowing she'd speak when she was ready.

After eating only a few bites, she mumbled an excuse and went back to her room. She lay down, pulling her soft blanket up to her chin, but sleep wouldn't come.

She tried to force herself to think of anything but Mr. Kim's disappointed gaze and the coldness in his voice. Yet, the more she tried, the more her mind replayed every word he'd said.

Her throat tightened, and she bit her lip, trying to hold back the tears that pricked at her doe eyes. Her cheeks, once bright and cheerful, felt heavy with sadness, and her little button nose was turning red as she tried to stifle her sniffles.
