Vyrdam was plunged in a loud silence, the town's people hidden in their homes awaiting for their once peaceful and safe kingdom to become fighting grounds for a war started by the power trip of Zeravia's leaders. With the news of an attack being on its way to the large gates that used to protect them from harm, everyone was on edge. However, they trusted the soon to be crowned King and the woman they could only hope would one day become their Queen. They had all watched the Prince show her around and they had heard about they way she helped an entire family and they all agreed that Theodore seemed happy at her side. They put their faith in them completely and they would never take it away. Everyone knew that they would be safe as long as the rogue royals of Zeravia were around and only a few fools still believed that Theodore was not fit to overlook the kingdom. He had proven himself multiple times by now, risking his very life to save a simple soldier and fighting alongside them without cowering behind and using his people as shields. Walking around and making sure everyone had what they needed, listening to complaints and fixing the issues brought to him with easy. He cared and loved his people and that would never change.
Izzy stood in the pink dress she had bought with Theodore. Her long brown hair was down except for the upper half that she had neatly braided and tied. She stared at the long mirror, her reflection, one she barely recognized, for the better. The millennial pink dress dropped low and dragged slightly behind her, it was perfect. The sleeves hung loosely around her arms, the white lacy belt hugged at her curves nicely while allowing her to move swiftly. Fabric was stitched in the shape of flowers trailing the hem of her skirt. She held a hand over her heart, feeling it as it beat rapidly, Theo's mother's necklace around her neck. She believed it would keep both him and her safe tonight. It was an unspoken promise that they would make it out of this so that she could return it to him. Worry and fear mixed with joy and hope... her emotions were scattered. Her eyes twinkled with something new, something unexpected. She let out a shaky breath and closed her eyes, slowly opening her mind and widening the extent of her blessing, allowing her to reach as far as one mile outside of the kingdom's walls. She had hoped for this silly war to end and not come this far. She had hoped she wouldn't have to face the people she grew up with, the people she used to trust with her life only a couple of weeks ago. However, she had wasted tears and sleepless nights over the subject. Maybe she had been dumb to hope so much, but it was hard not to when she was around Theodore. He was a ray of sunshine, so optimistic and pure. He had single-handedly reached her heart and healed wounds that she wasn't even aware she had. He had helped her understand herself and he had given her the chance to feel her own emotions instead of being crushed by those of others. Theodore Hearst had been able to break through all of her walls, but most importantly, he had given her a taste of what love felt like and she would make sure to tell him the way she felt as soon as this would be over. When her trust had been broken so viciously, he had made her trust again. He had shown her that she deserved love and that gift was one she would never be able to repay to him. Her lips curled into a smile and for a moment it seemed her own peace of mind reached the whole town, because for a second, she felt everyone's fears vanish. For a second, the only thing she felt was love... pure and unconditional.
The doors of the dimly lit room bursted open as Alexis ran inside, her dark hair were tightly pulled back into a braided bun. Her breathing was fast paced and her mind was running wild. The woman was not one to be anxious, she had never had these types of feelings and she still didn't. Even when she was about to inform Izzie about the enemy closing in, something the girl already knew. They'd breached the reach of her empathic scan minutes ago.
"They're going to be here any minute now..." Alexis said dusting her white cloak off and walking towards the other, flashing a confident smile.
"I know..." Izzie whispered, turning around to face a woman that still was a mystery to her. All she knew was that she could trust her, she was Tate's sister. She took a deep breath in, "Any word from Theo yet?" She asked, her brows moving into a position that expressed worry.
