The conference room was silent, filled with an air of tension so thick that it seemed almost tangible. Freen and Becky sat side by side, the strength of their bond evident as they faced the formidable assembly before them. Across the table sat Charlotte, her face a mask of defiance, and Lucas, who leaned back with an arrogant smirk, clearly confident that they'd outmaneuvered everyone. Around them, other members of The Council watched, silent but alert, their interest piqued by what promised to be a showdown like no other.

As the meeting began, Freen rose, her expression calm but her eyes blazing with determination. She held up a folder filled with documents-evidence painstakingly gathered by her and Becky. She glanced around the room, making eye contact with each Council member, ensuring she had their full attention.

"Today," she began, her voice steady and unwavering, "I am here to expose a betrayal that has sought to dismantle not only NeoTech but the integrity of every person working here." Her gaze lingered on Charlotte and Lucas, who shifted slightly under her intense stare. "I'm here to reveal the extent of manipulation, deceit, and corporate sabotage orchestrated by those I once considered allies."

Charlotte scoffed, her mask of confidence cracking just slightly. "Really, Freen? Are we going to play this game now?" Her tone was biting, dismissive, yet there was a flicker of fear in her eyes.

"Oh, this is no game, Charlotte," Becky replied, standing beside Freen. Her voice was calm, almost too calm, and it sent a shiver through the room. "You might have thought you could manipulate us, tear us apart. But the game's over. We have everything-every piece of evidence, every lie you've told, every secret meeting."

Lucas's smirk faltered as Becky reached into the folder and revealed a set of printed CCTV screenshots showing him and Charlotte in intimate conversations, detailing their plot to ruin Freen and seize control. One image after another landed on the table, each one more incriminating than the last.

Lucas's eyes narrowed, but he maintained his arrogant demeanor. "This is nothing more than speculation. You can't prove anything with just pictures."

Becky smiled, a flash of satisfaction in her eyes. "Oh, we have more than pictures, Lucas." She produced a small USB drive and inserted it into the conference room's main computer. Instantly, security footage filled the screen. The video displayed an exchange between Lucas and Charlotte, their voices captured as clearly as their intentions. The dialogue was damning:

"So, once we've destabilized her position," Lucas's voice sneered, "it'll be a clear path for us to take over. She'll have no choice but to step down."

Charlotte's voice followed, dripping with ambition. "With Freen out of the way, NeoTech will be ours to shape however we want. She's always had too much control. We'll be able to run things on our terms, and The Council will back us fully."

The room was silent, the weight of the betrayal hanging heavy in the air. Some of the Council members exchanged wary glances, clearly alarmed by what they were hearing.

Freen looked directly at Charlotte, her voice calm but laced with a bitter edge. "Did you think I would just step aside? Did you really believe that I'd be blind to what was happening? You were willing to destroy everything we'd built here, for what? Power?"

Charlotte's mask slipped completely, and for a moment, panic flashed across her face. "Freen, this is business. You've been in this industry long enough to know that sometimes... sacrifices have to be made."

"Sacrifices?" Freen laughed, a low, cold sound. "I've sacrificed for this company, for our people, for every dream and vision NeoTech stands for. What have you sacrificed, Charlotte? Loyalty? Honesty? Your own humanity?"
