Sparkler's POV

7:34 A.M.

Burble...burble...

The sound of the kettle on the stove woke me up. "Who's making tea so early?" I mumbled, sitting up from my sleeping position on the couch. Gumball Machine (aka Ballpit) was casually staring at the golden kettle, which then started to whistle. She saw me, and greeted me with a wave. "Good morning." she said. "You're up early." I replied. "What's the occasion? You normally sleep in after a late night out at the town." "I couldn't sleep." Gumball Machine said while pouring hot water into her mug. "Partially from Feather rambling drunk words in her sleep, and from Diary snoring loud as hell." I snickered slightly. Not at Diary, but Feather. She's a good leader, but can be quite careless at times. Diary is just...amazing. Maybe that's why I like her so much.

Gumball Machine opened one of the small drawers beside the fridge, and took out a chamomile-flavored teabag, dipping it into her cup. "Is there still any more water left?" I asked her. "I'm really in the mood for some hot cocoa..." "I think there is." Gumball Machine said. "That's good." I replied, crouching down to open the cabinet doors and grabbing my winter-themed mug.

I was pouring some of the steaming water into the mug when I heard a door open. I looked towards the sound and saw Feather groggily stumbling out. "Good sleep?" I asked her. "No..." she replied. "I shouldn't have drunk those martini glasses..." "Well, I'm glad you finally realized that." I said, pouring the hot cocoa mix into my mug, then handing her a glass of water after she tiredly walked over to the kitchen. She took a sip and sighed with relief. "God, I am sooooo tired..." she grumbled, propping herself up onto the counter. "Good for you." I said, sipping my cocoa.

The other Girls started to wake up, greeting her other members, making her breakfast, whatever your normal criminal girl does. The sun shone through the windows, lighting up the hideout. I sat down at the wooden table with my hot cocoa. Wooden Top and Poison were talking about something, pointing at a few places here in the hideout. I took a drink from my mug until I heard Poison call my name. "Moonstone–would you mind helping us out?" she asked me. "What's up?" I asked. "Could you help us where to put the Herring? Poison and I can't really...find a place." Wooden Top said sheepishly. "Sure!" I said. "It'll give me something to do here." "Thanks." Poison replied, then the two started to talk again.

8:45 A.M.

"Just to the left–a bit more..."

I was floating up near the Wall of Treasures, trying to find a good spot for the Daring Red Herring we stole the night before. The Wall of Treasures is a small memento collection of the valuable stuff we took over the years as criminals. "And..." Wooden Top said, as I inched more towards the left, as her and Poison requested. "Right there!" she said. I hung it where she told me. I floated down to the floor, and studied the Herring. "That looks good." I said. "Yeah." Poison said.

The three of us stared at the Wall, seeing our progress as criminals in silence.

"Hey–uh..." Feather peeked her head through her bedroom door, wearing her brick-red cardigan, a brown beanie, and a cashmere scarf. "Do you guys wanna go do some stuff around the city with me and the others?"

"Yes." The three of us said in unison.
