Phoenix's POV
11:42 AM
"Ha!" Diary said triumphantly, setting down a +4 Wild Card on to the pile. "Now ya gotta draw four, GM! And the color is red, by the way." "I hate you so much." Gumball Machine muttered, drawing four cards from the deck. We were all playing a card game out of boredom when we came back to our hideout. Being criminals sure does take its toll sometimes. I set down a red "6" down onto the pile, then realizing that I had no more red cards left in my hand. Moonstone was staring at her cards for a few minutes, then drawing one out and putting it a bit elegantly on the pile.
Another Wild Card.
"The color is blue!" she said. "Maybe I'm gonna win this time." "You always change it to blue!" Poison said, setting down a blue "9" onto the pile. "Can't you choose something else?" "Blue is my signature color." Moonstone replied simply. "Alright, Ms. Blue." Wooden Top said sarcastically, flicking a blue "2" onto the cards.
The game continued on, then ending with a surprising win from Moonstone. Most likely predicted from her, as she's a psychic.

Click. Clack.
I scrolled through the channels on the hanging TV in my room shared with Muffin. We had a bunk bed, so, of course, I got the top bunk. Muffin herself was click-clacking away on her laptop. "What are you looking for?" she asked me. "The Scandinavian Bake-off?" "I don't know." I replied, then shutting the TV off. I climbed down from my bed, then sat down beside Muffin.
There was silence between us, with only the sound of the laptop keys clicking.
"I'm not sure why," I said suddenly, breaking the quiet silence. "But I feel like something is gonna happen today." "Is that so?" Muffin asked me. "Mhm." I rested my arms on Muffin's head. She didn't do anything. "I'm gonna go and get a snack." she said, closing her laptop. "You want anything?" "I'm alright, thanks." I replied, taking my arms off of her.
She left the room. I went back onto my bunk, then grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, ready to look through some more channels. When I came across the news channel, I noticed that it was breaking news. What could be so important?
I stayed on the channel, seeing what they could be talking about.
"News from approximately forty-five minutes ago, a new valuable has been made to the public!" the news reporter said, sounding excited. "A sort of 'comb' as stated by the valuable's founders, and worth around 70,000 dollars! We shall not state anymore, though, as maybe a group of criminals is watching this very moment. Now, back to sports..."
I didn't even turn the TV off, I was tumbling out of my room the moment they stopped.
"You heard too?!" Gumball Machine yelled excitedly, quickly swiveling around to face me. The TV in the living room was also on. "Around 70,000 dollars worth of money!" I screamed, shaking her in excitement. "Who knows how much we could do with that kind of money! Diary, do you have any information on it?" Diary looked away sheepishly. "Not to put a dampen on the spirit, but I don't...uh...have the info this time." "WHAT?!" I yelled at her. "Are you serious?!" "I know someone who might though!" Diary said quickly. "Although, their place isn't open right now. We'll have to meet her at nighttime. Around 6 PM, I would say. "What place are you talking about?" Poison asked. "The Lighthouse Life Club." Diary replied. "I'm leading the way, though, I'm not sure if you're all familiar with the place."
I flopped down on the couch. "This better be worth it."
