???'s POV

10:50 PM

These damn boots have gotta stop clip-clopping everytime I land on a building. Seriously, they look good on me but they're so annoying...

"What's the latest haul tonight?" Mercury asked me from the circle surrounding the few lanterns. "Nothing special really, just some trinkets and treasures from those Girls." I replied, putting down a sack near the seven members of my crew. "You can take off the mask you know." Mint said, his straw bobbing in the night's wind. "We can't do that, idiot." Choco said, elbowing Minty in the ribs with his leg (since he's armless). "Do you want to get caught again? After what happened a few hours ago, you've been acting strange!"

"But aren't you acting weird as well?" Mint retorted, firing up. "Dude, it's 10 PM, why the hell are you guys arguing over this?" Bristles asked. "I'll tell you why, Bristles." Choco said, standing up. "Our buddy Mint over here is in love with a rivaling criminal!" "I saw the way you looked at her too, Choco!" Mint said, jabbing a finger into Choco's head. "You looked like you wanted to kiss her right then and there!" "I was knocked out by a damn bottle!" Choco yelled, heating up the argument. "How could I be in love with someone like her, huh?!" "First of all, that was a bottle of alcohol, which you're clearly sensitive to. When you woke up you were drunk and muttering sweet nothings about "some goddess" or whatever!" "You were doing that too when you got out of that tranquilizer dart!"

"Who the hell are you two talking about?" Dust asked from his bucket seat beside Bristles. "Her! Does nobody know who I'm talking about?!" Choco said, looking around at everyone. "Do you mean Wooden Top from the Feather Girls?" Crumbs asked. "I saw that you and Mint went against her at the Lighthouse Life Club."

"Look, it isn't my fault that she tried to charm me!" Mint said, his shades darkening under his mask. "It's just like...I don't know, really..." "Yeah, whatever, keep gaslighting yourself, Mint." Choco grumbled, sitting down. "You like her too, you're just in denial." Mint huffed, making Choco's face bloom in a dark blush. "Calm down, gentlemen." I said, settling down the two. "Just don't look too suspicious when we go to the Museum tomorrow night, 'kay? Besides, we'll get her and her friends behind bars soon enough." "Oh really?" Mint asked sarcastically. "How then, Mr. Smarty-Palm?" I smirked. "Well, we're just going to...take them off their guard, to say the least."

"Do ya think they'll find out about us as well?" Bristles asked Palm, his hands under his chin (?). "Nah, he's way too immersed in our detective double life to notice at all." Palm said, waving a hand airily.
