Ryder outlined the minor changes, and Anya listened intently, relieved that her initial outline was still viable.

"These adjustments won't require significant overhaul," Ryder assured. "You can manage it within the remaining time."

Anya nodded, jotting down notes.

" Consider it done, sir."

Their meeting concluded, Anya returned to her workstation.
As the clock ticked closer to 6 pm, the office began to empty.

Emily approached Anya's desk. "Hey, need help with the changes? I can stay."

Anya smiled appreciatively. " Thanks Emily, but I've got this. You go ahead."

Emily hesitated before leaving. "Be careful, okay? Don't overwork."

Anya nodded, already focused on her task.

As the last staff members departed, Anya remained, immersed in her work. The silence and solitude helped her concentrate. Hours passed, and Anya made steady progress.

Just as she was finalizing the presentation, the office lights dimmed, and the air conditioning softened.

Anya looked up, realising she was alone.

Suddenly, the door creaked open. Ryder stood in the doorway, his expression unreadable.

"Still here, Anya?" He asked, his voice low.

Anya's heart skipped a beat.
"Yes, Sir. Almost done."

Ryder walked toward her, his footstep echoing.

"I'll wait."

Anya's pulse quickened.

"Excellent," Ryder said, his breath whispering against Anya's ear as he leaned in to view the screen.

Anya's heart skipped a beat. His proximity sent shivers down her spine.

Ryder's eyes scanned the presentation, his face inches from her's.

"Impressive, Anya," he murmured. "You've exceeded expectations."

Anya's cheeks flushed. His praise and nearness left her breathless.

As Ryder straightened, his hand brushed against Anya's shoulder.

The accidental touch sent sparks through her body.

"Thank you, sir," Anya managed, trying to sound calm.

Ryder's gaze lingered on hers, his expression softening.

" You've put in extra effort. I appreciate it."

Anya's pulse quickened. Was Ryder showing appreciation or something more?

Suddenly, the tension between them became palpable.

Ryder cleared his throat, breaking the spell.

"I'll review this further. Send it to my email."

Anya nodded, her fingers trembling as she sent the email.

As Ryder turned to leave, Anya felt a mix of relief and disappointment.

"Anya?" Ryder called out, his voice low.

"Yes, Sir?"

"Get some rest. Tomorrow's presentation is crucial."

Anya smiled. " Will do, sir. "

With Ryder gone, Anya exhaled deeply. She let out a satisfied sigh as she clicked "send" on the email. She had completed her work, and it felt amazing.

"It's done!" She whispered to herself, a smile spreading across her face.

She leaned back in her chair, feeling proud and accomplished. The tension and stress of the past two days melted away.

Anya glanced at the clock - 8:45 PM. She had put in extra hours, but it was worth it

With a sense of closure, Anya began shutting down her workstation.

As she packed her belongings, she felt a sense of relief wash over her.

"Tomorrow's presentation will be a breeze," she reassured herself.

With renewed confidence, Anya headed out of the office, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
