The H.R representative, Ms. Patel, led the new recruits to the conference room. "Alright, let's get started. Your roles have been assigned. Please find your name and designation on the sheet."
Ms. Patel handed each of them a folder containing their job description, responsibilities, and expectations.
" Your supervisors will guide you through the orientation process," Ms. Patel explained, "Ryder Industries expects excellence, teamwork, and dedication. You'll have a meeting with your respective supervisors shortly."
As the new recruits began reviewing their folders, Anya noticed Ryder standing at the back, observing.
"Anya Sharma," he called out.
"Yes, Sir?"
"Report to my office at 11 am. We'll discuss your marketing strategy for the upcoming project."
Anya's heart skipped a beat. Working closely with Ryder would be challenging, but she was determined to prove herself.
The others received similar instructions, and the group dispersed to meet their supervisors.
As Anya headed to her workstation, she noticed a friendly face - Emily, the graphic designer.
" Hey, want to grab coffee and discuss out projects ?" Emily asked.
Anya smiled, grateful for the friendly gesture.
" Love to," she replied.
Anya and Emily sipped their coffee, exchanging stories and laughter. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, and they quickly discovered they had much in common.
"I'm so glad we met," Emily said. "I was nervous about starting here, not knowing anyone."
"Same here," Anya agreed. "But I'm glad we're in this together now."
As they chatted, they realised they lived remarkably close to each other.
"No way! I'm on Oak Street," Emily exclaimed.
"I'm on Maple Street, just two streets away!" Anya replied.
Their eyes widened in surprise. "What are the chances?" Emily laughed.
Their shared proximity sparked an instant connection. They began discussing neighborhood spots, favourite restaurants, and local events.
"I'll show you the best shop near our place," Emily offered.
"Deal!" Anya smiled.
Their conversation was interrupted by a text from Ryder's assistant.
"Anya, your 11am meeting with Mr. Ryder is confirmed. Please report to his office."
Anya's stomach fluttered. "Guess it's time to face the boss again."
Emily's expression turned sympathetic. "You'll do great. Just be yourself, and don't let him intimidated you."
Anya took a deep breath, feeling grateful for Emily's support.
"Thanks Emily. You're already a lifesaver."
Their coffee break came to an end, but their friendship had just begun.
