"What do you mean your mom got killed by her best friend?" Amyra says practically shocked.

"Shh! You can't just say that out loud.." I sigh and look around at the people chatting around us. No one seemed to notice. Thank god. This isn't a conversation that would be normally heard in a Starbucks by my apartment.

Amyra looks at me confused for a moment, "Girl or guy?"

"What?"

"Girl or guy friend?"

"What kind of question is that? It doesn't matter, but the part that she was," I quiet down slightly so no one hears, "murdered by her friend is the important part."

I hate talking about my mom.

Amyra gives me a look that I get all the time from her when I used to talk about my ex. "It does matter what gender it was, at least it does to me." She pauses for a moment, "Tell me you at least asked why they did it?"

I nodded while I took a drink out of my pumpkin cream cold brew. "Something about they had a hookup with my mom and they got mad that she wouldn't get with them."

She looks shocked and puts her hand on mine, "I'm.. I'm sorry."

I shrug. It bothers me so much but I can't say anything about it. I know if I did I would break down crying, naturally. It's pretty normal for people who seen their mom's dead body to be pretty fucked up. "It's not like it's your fault."

"Hey dad," I smile as I hug him.

"Hey sweetheart," He hugs me and pats my back slightly hard. I'm used to it though.

We're having a family reunion at my dad's house, as normal.

"Where is everyone?" I ask as I look at the living room where normal half our family was. We have a pretty big family, but not everyone comes every time. We invite both my mom's side and my dad's side.

"Outside. It's lovely out there," He said as he opened the fridge to get some condiments.

I nod and walk to the back door and smile as I seen all my cousins, my two aunts, my three uncles, and my grandma. My dad has one sister and two brothers. My mother had one sister and one brother. My mom was the oldest, and my dad was the middle child. My grandma is my dad's mom, she is very strict but loving, and filthy rich. My dad's dad died two years ago. It was sad but he had cancer for years and had no solution to it.

My mother's parents live very far away so don't come to these things anymore. I used to take a plane there when I was younger but I stopped a year ago.

I opened the door and walked outside. Everyone stopped and smiled. My two younger cousins came running up to me and hugged my legs. They were too small to actually hug me normally. They were twins, one of their names are Elijah and the other is Isaiah.

They are very identical, the only thing that separates them is their eyes. Elijah's eyes are blue, and Isaiah's are green. They are the cutest boys I've ever met. They have fluffy brown hair, tan skin, and always have matching outfits. Their dad is Ryker, my youngest uncle on my dad's side. He's a pretty laid-back guy. He has dark brown hair, green eyes, strong body, and always wearing those dad outfits.

"Amelia!" Elijah and Isaiah said at the exact same time. It's pretty normal for them to say the same thing at the same time now.

"Hey my favorite twins!" I say as I rub their heads messing up their hair slightly. I always call them my favorite twins.

The twins run away seemingly going to play with their toys. "Hey baby," my grandma says as she smokes a cigarette.

My grandma Diana, always holding a cigarette. "Hey GranGran," I smile and walk over to hug her. She's always been a strong woman, she's very well for her age. 79 normally hits you hard but she's still doing everything just fine without a problem. She had jet black hair that is very long, with bright blue eyes. She's slightly plump now but she was the hottest girl back when she was younger. She's still a very good looking old lady.

GramGram slipped a 100 dollars into my pocket and I smiled. She always gave me some money when I came over and wouldn't let me give it back, so I just learned to accept it.

"Come over here and give your aunties a hug." One of my aunts say. My aunts are very close. They got introduced to each other when my mom and dad started dating and they've been close ever since.

My aunt on my dad's side has blonde highlights that make her dark hair so pretty. She has that badass mom body, if you know what I'm talking about. Her eyes are dark green that match her perfectly. Her name is Rosily.

My mom's sister has blonde hair that is just below her shoulders. She has the most beautiful blue eyes. She's slightly big but it's not noticeable. Her name Aubree.

I walk over and hug Aubree first then Rosily. They both smell like perfume, just like how I remember. "Hi auntie's."

"Hi my Amy," My auntie Rosily says in a soft sweet voice. She's always had a soft spot for me.

"Hi my pretty Amelia," My other auntie Aubree says with a smile.

I was so busy greeting my aunties that I didn't notice that my oldest uncle had sneaked up on me and picked me up. I screamed playfully and laughed as I seen it was uncle Henry. My uncle Henry was the oldest on my dad's side. He was always super strong and playful. He has dirty blonde hair that had slightly gray hairs in it. He has a scruffy beard that was mostly gray hairs but it made him look good. He has brown eyes, and a very masculine face and body. He was a player back in his day.

"You've grown since I've seen you!" Henry chuckles and throws me over his shoulder.

I squealed and tried to push me back up but he just jumped and made me go right back.

Everyone laughed including my cousins. I was always the one everyone liked to pick on because I didn't mind or get upset or mad.

"Let go of me!" I said laughing, suddenly I felt that feeling I always felt when I was here. I'm being watched. Not again..
