"How's your new place?" My dad asked as we walked around my new town. Sunvale is the city I moved to. It about 30 minutes away from my dad's house but that's kind of the point.
I watch the sun light up the trees making a beautiful shadow from the trees. The birds singed freely and in tone that it seemed almost fake.
"It's fine, but living with guys is already tiring," I sigh as we pass an ice cream shop. I've been having to wash their dishes already and it's only the first week. I still haven't exactly talked to Levi yet. He's just sort of... there?
Daniel nodded and looked at the passing cars. I take the opportunity to look at what he's wearing. He's wearing a dark blue tuxedo that fit him perfectly. He looked straight out of a book. "Going somewhere after this?"
He looks at me and nods slightly. "I'm going to work after this." I sigh softly and give him an annoyed look. Dad rolls his eyes, "I work for fun, sweetheart. You don't need to worry about me, I'm a grown man."
I look at the old looking buildings. I've been trying to remember where everything is so I don't get lost. I have a habit of getting lost in the most inconvenient places.
I remember my mom walking in the grass. Her blonde hair blowing alluring behind her as I walked behind her holding my dad's hand. She was wearing a baby pink long dress that went to her ankles, her feet meeting to grass in a dance. The sun falling slowly but fast at the same time. That was my favorite memory of her. Her true beauty showing when she felt free.
I look at my dad as we stop at a park. It was smaller than my old one but this one had a small pond in the middle where ducks roamed.
"Hey dad.. who was mom's murder?"
