Y/n sat on the cold, hard ground, his eyes fixed on Weiss, impaled by Cinder's spear. The room around him blurred into obscurity as a deafening ringing sensation filled his ears. His emotions were spiralling out of control, tearing at the edge of his sanity.
Jaune: "Weiss!"
Jaune's voice through the haze, desperate and broken. He rushed to her side. He cradled her limp form, his face etched with despair. Y/n could only watch, paralysed by his own helplessness, as Jaune pleaded with Weiss to respond.
Oscar scanned the chaotic room. Seeing Y/n incapacitated and Ruby still unconscious, he swung his cane at Lionheart, knocking him back before rushing to Ruby's side.
Oscar: "Ruby, get up!"
Oscar said, shaking her shoulder. Nora quickly joined him, her eyes filled with determination.
Oscar: "Get up! We need you!"
Y/n dragged himself over to Weiss and Jaune, his vision swimming with a mixture of colour and encroaching red. He placed his trembling hand on Weiss's chest, desperate to feel her heartbeat. It was there, but faint and weakened.
Hazel's roar echoed through the chamber, tearing Y/n's attention away.
Hazel: "Ozpin! You thought you could hide from me?"
Hazel bellowed, tearing off his coat and producing vials of lightning dust.
Hazel: "You'll pay for what you did. You'll die over and over again!"
He injected the lightning dust into his veins, causing bright yellow lightning to course through his body.
Y/n's gaze shifted to Cinder, and that's when the red engulfed his vision entirely. His breathing turned ragged, growls escaping his throat as he struggled to contain the fury building within him. Black substance began to ooze from his suit, spreading through his body.
Cinder: "Ozpin is here?"
Cinder said, unaware of the transformation taking place.
Raven: "Is that a problem?"
Cinder: "I'm not sure, but right now we have the upper hand"
Y/n's mind was fixated on a single, overwhelming thought: Kill. The black goo enveloped him, morphing his form as his stood and began to advance to the center of the room. Jaune and Ren worked frantically to keep Weiss alive, while Yang stood, torn between aiding her friends and facing the growing threat Y/n presented.
Nora's voice cut through the tension.
Nora: "Stop them! We've got your team covered!"
Yang tried to charge forward but was intercepted by Mercury, who delivered a swift kick. Emerald smirked at the site.
Emerald: "You wanna get to them? You're going to have to get through-"
A roar shattered the air, drawing everyone's attention to the now transformed Y/n. The black substances receded, revealing a monstrous figure, taller and more imposing than before.
