A week had passed, and Viktor stood under the scorching desert sun. Ever since he had become a Legend, his skin had taken on a granite-like texture, and despite his pale complexion, he no longer feared the sun's burn. He watched soldiers practicing their shooting on one side, while on the other, a white-haired teenager fell to his knees in the sand, then got up, making a transparent staff appear in his hand. Even Viktor couldn't deny the boy's impressive dedication. Two familiar faces approached him: Lumia and Sin had come to see him. Sin, in his deep voice, noticed where Viktor's gaze was focused and asked:
"So, how is his training going? Learning the Dance of Shards takes years, even decades."
Viktor merely nodded in response. Sin seemed surprised by this reaction and continued:
"You're not making any comments. That's rare from you, my friend."
Viktor, thoughtful, explained:
"That kid is special, Sin."
"Yes, Rhodea already gave me her report. He seems to have extraordinary abilities; his potential intrigues us."
Viktor shook his head and clarified:
"I'm not talking about that," the giant rumbled. "I'm talking about his will. His resilience is incredibly powerful. I told him to make his weapon appear in less than a second."
Lumia interjected:
"In reality, making it appear in under two seconds is already considered very fast."
Viktor continued:
"Of course, I said it to push him. Ever since I gave him this mission, he's been doing it all day. It exhausts him, but he keeps going. He hasn't taken a single break. Even when his body collapses to his knees or the ground, he gets back up and starts over, purely through willpower."
Lumia was perplexed:
"It's barely believable. Even genetically modified beings like me couldn't keep up that pace. Has his body also been altered?"
Viktor specified:
"You're missing the point, Lumia. It's not about his body; it's about his mind. His will and ambition are as hard as diamond. In just a week, he's cut his time in half."
Sin, with a smile, mentioned:
"Seis Orion. He might join the operations sooner than we expected."
Viktor replied, determined:
"Sin, if you give me a year, I'll turn him into an unstoppable weapon for our revolution."
Lumia voiced her disagreement:
"I don't like it when you talk like that."
Viktor smirked ironically:
"You should be used to it by now."
Sin, gazing out into the desert as if looking into the future, declared:
"Unfortunately, we don't have a year to spare. Prepare him as much as possible over the next month. Things are changing in the capital. We'll have to intervene."
Viktor answered with devotion:
"Understood, Chief."
Sin and Lumia left the training ground, disappearing from the sight of the busy soldiers.
Two weeks of training in the Dance of Shards had passed. Seis could now summon his weapon in two seconds, still far from Viktor's standards, but already much faster than before. He also trained every night to make his Qi flames appear as quickly as possible, a method he had seen in Tria's memories, which helped him improve his speed with the Shards as well.
