Evacuation

(Welcome welcome! So, I needed to do some research on Season 2. Since Levi was pretty much absent from this season due to his injuries. So I will try my best to follow the story. I will be adding Season 3 to this since 2 had very limited Levi action. Revealing some plot twists along the way! Enjoy All! I am skipping to Episode 28: Southwestward, this will be a short start)

We were ordered to evacuate immediately, we feared that there was a breach within the Walls due to our newest discovery of Titans being in the Walls. I was with Levi, Hange, Armin, Mikasa and Eren. Also accompanying us, was Minister Nick. To be completely honest, I had no idea why the Minister was with us. Maybe out of good faith. Our horse drawn buggy ran over a rock, the thud woke me up. I snapped awake and could see the group I was with.
"Have a good rest? You might want to wipe your chin." Levi spoke quietly, I growled and realized I accidentally drooled. I wiped my chin quick with my sleeve.
"How far are we to the district?" I yawned stretching my legs and arms. Levi ducked, so I wouldn't swat at him.
"Few more hours I think. Four Eyes, what the hell is with the rock?" Levi spoke, my eyes shot over to Hange. She was grasping a bluish rock, studying it.
"It's not a rock Levi. It's a piece of the Female's hardened skin. It didn't disappear, I think it's actually what the Walls are made of." Hange explained, flipping the hardened flesh in her hand. I blinked and cringed.
"You just carry around Titan skin in your pocket?" I asked, leaning back cracking my neck. I watched the goosebumps form on Levi's neck at the sound. Oops.
"Yeah, I told you she was weird." Levi mentioned before stretching out his legs. I started to think before I gazed over at Eren.
"You know how to do that?" I asked, giving Eren's foot a kick. He snapped out of his train of thought, blinking and looking over at me with those bright green eyes of his.
"Carry Titan skin in my pocket?" He replied to my question.
"No you stupid Shit, hardening your Titan form's skin." Levi replied to Eren's reply. Levi was pretty grumpy right now. Probably had a lot going on in that small head of his.
"No, I never tried to be honest." Eren explained, crossing his arms. I started to smell something, I closed my eyes. There was a new smell, burning. I cringed at the smell, it reeked of burnt hair suddenly. I covered my nose with my sleeve.
"What is it Mai?" Armin spoke to me, everyone's head shot over to me.
"Any of you smell burned hair?" I frowned asking, I saw them all shake they're heads.
"Mai, do you think it could be another Titan like Eren?" Levi asked me, I shook my head.
"I don't know...I really hope not." I replied, inhaling again. The smell disappeared slowly as we got closer to our destination. We watched as citizens were fighting each other. Now I remembered why Nick was with us, the Church of the Walls had secrets hidden about the Titans in the Walls. We watched as the sad faces passed us as citizens gathered they're families.
"Hey Nick, you going to spit out some of those secrets yet?" Levi spoke over to the Minister. The Minister remained silent for most of the ride. I closed my eyes and decided to try and focus my abilities again. I noticed some interesting smells, tar, rubber, and burning flesh. I had a bad feeling something was coming. My ears perked in on the conversation that started; Nick was explaining finally some of those secrets. Since Levi was aiming a gun at the man.
"There is a girl among the One Hundred and Fourth Corps, she is going under a fake name. She may chose to talk to you all." Nick spoke, I shot my eyes open.
"You three know everyone in your friend group. Go and find the girl he's talking about." Levi ordered. They nodded and hopped off the cart, taking off on horseback.
"Levi...I think I might have a idea." I spoke giving Levi a nudge. His head turned to me as I moved from my spot, and sat myself across from them.
"What is it Mai?" Hange asked me, still fiddling with the skin.
"If Eren could harden his skin...we might be able to cover the hole. Killing the Titans inside, we could regain control of Wall Maria. If we go during the night where Titans are most dormant, we could have a chance here." I explained my train of thought. Levi smirked at me, pleased with the plan.
"Let's get this information to Erwin, but for now...lets get this information from this girl." Levi spoke, his hand came to his chin. He rubbed it and began his next train of thought. He sighed and looked down at his ankle again and over at me.
"Hey Hange." Levi called over to the woman, who jumped at her name being called.
"Yeah Levi?" She leaned over looking at him.
"Do you think you can take over? Mai and I are going to fall back. Make sure citizens are evacuating." Levi spoke from his spot. My head shot over to him, was he being serious?
"Levi, what are you talking about?" I spoke, Levi glanced over at me. He had something going on in his head.
"Sure, we are going to head for Utgard Castle. Be careful you two." Hange nodded her head, Levi stood up and grasped my hand. He let out a loud whistle and our horses came to our wagon following us. Levi and I got off the cart, grabbing on to our horses. The cart left our sights, and we were alone.
"Do you want to explain to me exactly what the hell is going on here?" I frowned, looking over at my friend. He looked down at his ankle.
"We are both under orders from Erwin. We are to observe anything odd and report. We are both injured, wont be much use on the field." Levi explained, patting his horses neck.
      "That sucks, but I guess someone has to make sure people are following direction." I replied to him, I mounted my horse. Levi struggled for a second due to his ankle but was able to get on his horse.
      "You going to be okay?" I questioned, Levi nodded and got his horse moving. I followed him, obeying our Commanders orders. We both didn't like the fact that we were grounded and unable to fight.
