(Mai's Point of View)
(Dream Sequence)

I was with Hange, we were being observed by a group of men with guns. We were riding our horses, heading over to a area where we had heard a Thunder Spear. My horse reared as we arrived, there was a cart...dead horses...and a dead Titan. I dropped down from my horse and investigated the area. A gun was aimed right at my back.
"Don't get any bright ideas...you'll be another blood heap like that one over there." A man spoke to me. I frowned, blood heap...what the hell was he talking about. I heard Hange gasp hard. I shot my head over, she ran over quickly. She dropped to her knees. I saw something glimmer at me and I looked down and saw one of our steel blades on the grass, along with two fingers. I started to make my way over to Hange.
"Mai! Stay back!" Hange ordered me, I frowned immediately. Why, why did she want me to stay where I was? I ignored her demand and walked over, as I saw over her shoulder. My heart sank and I shot my hands up to my mouth as I let out a scream. In her arms, was Levi...his face horribly scared. Missing his index and middle finger from his right hand. He laid there in Hange's arms, lifeless.

(Dream Sequence Ended)

I shot up from laying in the bed gasping. Levi jumped from his chair, and ran to my side quickly. I was sweating and in tears, shaking. Levi pulled me in to his chest trying to comfort me.
"Mai, it's okay! I'm here..." He spoke softly too me, pressing his lips against my head. I was hyperventilating, what the hell was that dream? It seemed so real.
"Mai, breath...it's okay. Relax, breath." Levi ordered me, I shut my eyes as he gave my head another kiss. I started to calm down, he rocked me gently. Shushing me and repeating himself. I finally calmed down and he pulled his head away.
"Look at me." Levi told me, I opened my teary eyes and looked at him. He started to wipe my tears away, he lowered his head and gave me a small peck on the lips. He brushed more tears from my face once he finished his kiss and I inhaled sharply.
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to startle you." I apologized. Levi leaned from the bed, grasping a teacup from the bedside table. He held it to me, I took it with shaking hands.
"Drink, I'm here Mai. Your okay..." Levi spoke to me, I looked up at him. I then brought the tea to my lips and took a sip. Once I finished my sip I sighed. He gave my forehead another kiss.
"Levi...I have a bad feeling about something..." I spoke finally, regaining my composure.
"About what?" He asked me, reaching for my teacup. I handed it to him and he placed it back on the table.
"That nightmare...it was about you." I uttered, he cupped my face with his hands. Kissing me again softly.
"Mai...nothing bad is going to happen to me." Levi told me calmly as he pulled his head back from the kiss. I inhaled sharply as he brushed a tear from my eye.
"Do you promise?" I asked him, looking back into his eyes. He gave me another soft kiss. He pulled his head back and gave me a soft grin.
"I promise..." He replied, I smiled back at him. Someone knocked on the door. Levi turned his head rolling his eyes.
"You all need a damn hobby! Who is it?" Levi shouted, my eyes shot to the door. Shit.
"It's Jean, foods ready Captain. I'll go wake Mai." Jean's voice emerged through the door.
"Don't waste your time, she's up already." Levi spoke again, rising from the bed. Levi what the hell are you doing?
"Captain, her door is closed. Pretty sure she's still in bed." Jean uttered from the door again. Levi grasped the handle and threw the door open. Jean jumped at the sight of Levi.
"Dumbass, she's in here with me. We will be right there." Levi made a gesture motioning behind him. Jean's face turned red at the sight of me. My heart started to race. Way to announce I was in here Levi...Jean gave a smirk and nodded his head.
"Captain, you dog." Jean's gaze went to Levi. Levi immediately slammed the door in Jean's face. I heard him groan in pain from the other end of the door. Levi turned and rolled his eyes.
"There a reason we grabbed him for our squad?" Levi rubbed his eyes. I lifted my teacup from its spot and chuckled.
"Pretty sure you picked him." I mentioned, he walked back over to me and placed his hands around my waist.
"Remind me why again?" He smirked and leaned in, kissing my forehead.
"Speed, agility, decision making I think...and his attitude." I recalled trying to read the list.
"Ahh...I think I made a bad call." Levi chuckled and gave my forehead another kiss.
"You know we are about to face the music right?" I mentioned as he brushed against my back with his fingertips.
"Please don't remind me..." Levi groaned, I chuckled at him as he pulled himself away. We both made our way to the kitchen.
