(Mai's Point of View)
We had to wait from word from Erwin on our next move. So we came back to our original spot in the woods. The abandoned castle we first brought Eren too. Eren was recovering slowly from his traumas. Historia, to become Queen. But, unfortunately...there was a dilemma I had to still deal with. It had been days since I even had said a word to Levi...or anyone really. Levi had become fixated on finding Kenny, we didn't know if Kenny made it out of the crater. I sighed heavily as I wrote a letter, this was to be sent to Erwin...my resignation as Assistant Captain. I didn't know if I could trust Levi after all that had transpired. I thought he truly cared about me, I was sadly mistaken. Levi knew about my father, Seth. Why didn't he tell me he knew my father? I gave my head a shake and growled running a hand through my long brown hair. I paused in my writing and dropped my pen, covering my face with both hands. Flashbacks of Levi torturing flew through my mind, I was trying so hard to let it go. Okay, I think I can let it go...we wouldn't have found Eren and Historia if we didn't get that information. I heard a knock on my door, I groaned again sliding my hands slowly from my face.
"Now is not a good time!" I yelled over to the door, it opened anyway quickly and I rose from my seat covering the partial letter I had written. It was Hange, her face was pale. She looked extremely worried and I frowned as I walked around the chair and pushed it in.
"Mai...they found Kenny." Hange spoke quietly to me, she looked at me with those brown eyes of hers. I nodded and crossed my arms, leaning on the desk.
"And? What is it Hange, whats wrong?" I asked the woman, she looked down at her feet clenching her jaw.
"Levi is going, alone...he called off the soldiers in the area. We don't know if Kenny's condition, or if he is alone..." Hange explained to me, my eyes widened. Was Levi serious in going alone? What if Kenny had something planned? I reached for my shirt to cover my crop top.
"Where is he now Hange?" I questioned, ignoring my jacket as I put on my white shirt.
"He was prepping his horse. Armin was trying to talk him out of it." Hange explained quickly as I started to make my way towards her. She moved out of the way so I could leave the room, she followed me closely.

I got down the steps of our building quickly, hearing yelling from the stables. Shit! I started to run, Hange right behind me. As we got to the open barn doors, Armin was being thrown out! I reacted quickly and caught the kid my his arm before he landed on the ground. I shot my head back to Levi, who was growling and panting heavily.
"I got Armin Mai, go..." I heard Hange speak, I turned my head to check over Armin. He looked terrified, a small bruise on his cheek. I turned sharply and started to walk towards Levi. Levi was struggling with one of the saddle straps, his horse kept moving around.
"Hold still...." I could hear Levi's irritated voice. He finally tightened the strap and stopped movement.
"What do you want?" He spoke to me, his tone was sharp and angry. I leaned against a pillar in the stable.
"What do you think your doing?" I questioned him, ignoring his inquiry. He tsked and ignored me walking around his horse pulling its head down to check the bridle and reigns.
"Levi! What are you thinking? You can't go after him...not until we make sure he's alone.." I started to try and reason with him.
"This is my business, so stay out of it. This is for me to deal with." Levi spat at me, grabbing the reigns after he finished his examination.
"Your not going out there alone. What if Kenny isn't?! You could be walking right in to a trap." I tried again, taking a small step. I was trying to block his exit.
"The hell does it matter to you?! You haven't said shit in days. Been hiding in that damn room of yours!" Levi hollered over at me, I frowned immediately swallowing hard.
"What the hell did you expect me to do Levi?! You knew about my father all this time and didn't think to tell me?! Or how about the fact I watched you rip that tooth and god knows what else to Sannes?! You knew I've been through torture!" I yelled back at him, his horse started to get spooked. Levi patted the animal's neck soothing it.
"I don't even know why I tried to find you...you were just fine without me." He spoke gritting his teeth. I felt my heart sink, there was no way he just said that.
"Don't do this...your walking into a trap Levi. Do you think Kenny would have given up so easily? He probably taught you better than that before he took off on you!" I stood in front of his path as he turned to lead his horse out.
"Move." He ordered me, I refused to move.
"Levi..." I felt tears try and wiggle they're way out of my eyes. He growled and dropped the horses reigns.
"I said move..." He gritted his teeth, gazing over at me...I've seen that look many times.
"Your not going alone..." I growled back, readying myself for what was about to transpire. He made his way over to me, grabbing me hard by the shoulders and turning me. I pushed back, bringing both my hands up grasping his arms with my small hands.
"Let me go!" I shouted in his face, he was actually hurting me badly. His thumb dug into my cauterized injury. He shoved me back hard and fast, I hit the pillar and dropped sliding down to the hay covered floor. I reached up to my left shoulder and covered it. I heard him gasp as I looked up at him. Like he had just snapped out of anger. He was looking down at his hand, my blood on his. Blood from my shoulder dripped down my arm as I whimpered at what he had just done to me. He took a few steps back, his emotion changed. Like he couldn't believe what he had just done. I winced as I was slowly standing back up.
"Mai...I-" He started to speak to me. I started to walk away quickly, avoiding eye contact as tears rolled down my face. I stopped at the  main doors looking back to him. He had the look of shock and concern on his face. I sighed and bit my tongue as I left the stable, making my way back to the main building.
