*Audrey's POV*

"Here's your tea.. I'm going to take Natilie in to the guest room," Niall whispered walking over to Natilie, carefully lifting her body ,with ease, so that she wouldn't awaken.

I nodded and took a sip of the warm liquid resting in the cup. It was comfortable here. I looked around the area, taking in every detail. The scent, the colors that filled the walls, and the large television, that took up a wall. I stood wrapping the blanket that had been resting on my lap, around my body. There was a frame, with a picture of Niall and a woman. He was kissing her cheek, and she was laughing. I smiled at the life in his eyes, then glancing at another of two men, and, again, Niall. All of them seemed happy, a soccer ball at their feet. I lifted the picture with the woman again, studying it.

"How's your tea, princess?"

He called from the doorway of the living area.

"Oh, umm, it's fine," I turned, "I called and told Jacob he could spend the night, but he doesn't know I'm here.. I can stay for a bit."

He nodded, walking towards me as I put the picture back into it's place.

"Sorry, I was just looking," I tried to escape to the couch. Grabbing my hand swiftly, he said

"It's my mum.."

Slowly, it was mentioned, keeping his eyes in the photo. I slowly turned to Niall and the photo.

"She's gone now," he cleared his throat, "she- uh.. She was killed. The police don't know who. But.." He trailed off.

I walked over to his side. My eyebrows came together.

"You know who?"

"Yes. Same as your father."

My heart clenched.

"What's the deal with this anyway?!"

I looked at Niall longing for a response.

"Audrey these people can't know you're here... It could put you and your brother in harms way and I will not let that happen."

His eyes were full of sadness and he put his hand softly to my cheek,

"I'm not losing you... Not again."

AS

"Again? What do you mean, again?" My tone was a bit softer now..

His eyes pierced into mine.

"You don't remember... Do you?.. Well, how could you.. We were so young... Do you remember coming to the Shop with your dad?" He asked.

"Yeah, it's my favorite childhood memory."

"That little boy that would always read with you, and he was about two or three years older? That was me..."

"W-what? Hahhahaha, you're kidding.".

"No. I'm not." He smiled

"Niall, I don't believe you."

"N-No, this isn't a joke, I'm being serious. I knew you, and your father. I wouldn't play with you like that... You have to believe me..."

His eyes were sincere, and hurt, that I didn't believe him.

"Niall, if I find out you're lying to me, I will never talk to you again. Now, tell me what the hell is Going on with these people!"

He smiled a weakly, and nodded.

"Your father, and Natalie's brother, was like I said, really intelligent, he figured out so many concepts, and other advances. He discovered a cure for something, and only Natalie knows what the cure is for. I don't know what it is, only Natalie and Cole do, I was taught to protect you from what ever, or who ever could harm you. Natalie raised me after my parents died, because they knew your father as well, and Cole killed them.."

"Natalie is my aunt?! What? And I heard him talking about this 'cure' befo-"

"Audrey, you're the key to the cure. That's why I can't let them find you."
