Niall's POV;

I quickly pulled over to the side of the road, scrambling for my phone that had fallen to the floor board on the passenger side. I dialed Natalie.

As the phone rang all of my senses seemed to heighten. My heart began to beat faster, I heard the sound of cars and clicks of the crickets in the ditch where I was parked grow louder. Severe pain stung my temples, I screamed at the sudden shock.

"Ni?! Ni is that you? Please tell me you're okay," Natalie questioned from the phone.

"Nat? Nat, is Audrey there? Are you two okay? Are you in the safe room?" I questioned as I massaged my temples, breathing deeper.

"Niall! Baby? You're okay, oh my God, you're okay!" Audrey seemed frantic, but relieved as well.

"Yes.. Babe, yeah I'm fine. I'll meet you and Natalie in the back in a few hours. I'll knock on the back door three times. Just wait for me."

"We'll be here Niall. I promise," Natalie assured me from the other line.

The line was disconnected. I took a deep breath, taking in everything that had just happened, Audrey being okay, Natalie helping Audrey through the horrible event that had occurred earlier today. I reached into the back seat to get the water bottle stashed there, when I heard a gun being re-loaded and the butt o.f it tapping on the window. I raised my head to look out of the window in the back, it was them, they had caught up to what they thought was me. I grabbed the SnapBack that I kept in my car and put it on low, slipping my glasses on as well, and spun around. I rolled down the window normally.

"Niall, you thought you could get away, seriously?" Joseph's voice was cold.

"I'm sorry sir, my name is not Niall, it's Ted. I just puked a while back and had to stop for a moment, I apologize if I was any in convenience.." I explained as a new found personality, Ted, who had a considerably higher pitched voice than I did. I glanced up only for a second.

"Damn it, I'm sorry to interrupt you," he sounded truly apologetic, "Bryan. You pointed me to the wrong fucking car! I knew I shouldn't have hired you," he called back to the car.

I groaned, my head still aching. I took deep breaths, and taking mental notes of the things he and his colleges were saying to one another.

"Again, I'm very sorry sir, you have a nice night."

I heard the sound of his shoes meeting the pavement with a soft pitter-patter as he strode to the black charger that was parked behind me. I rolled the window back up half way, so that I could hear a bit more of what they saying.

"I need the girl. She's the key Bryan. It's not just us that it's important to. It can change lives," Joseph was almost yelling, but the words were also muffled.

I began to drive slowly, turning around after they had passed me. I drove about 85 down the highway, needing to get back to town. It had already been half an hour, and I needed to get back to Walls as soon as possible. I was zooming past cars, my senses were still heightened in a way. The whooshing sound that the other cars created became louder with each car. My eyes stung from the tears that had filled my eyes hours before. I looked out of the passenger side window, I had almost entered town. I began to slow down, and exit to walls. It had now been an hour and fifteen minutes since I talked to the girls. I was about five minutes away, but still not close enough. The next thing I knew, I was at the back door of the shop. I knocked three times. The door creeped open, Natalie was behind it. She bursted out from behind it, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"I'm so glad you and her are okay, son.. I truly am.. I'll be in the car. She's asleep, I'll let you wake her, " he mumbled just below my ear.

I nodded, "Thank you, mom.."

She smiled weakly as she climbed into the car. I walked through the safe room's cracked door to see Audrey wrapped up in coffee bean bags, and the hoodie of mine that she kept here as a pillow. Her facial expression changed, she looked like she was having a nightmare, and just as I was going to wake her, she yelled in her sleep,

"No! Not Niall. No! He can't be! N---"

I woke her a quick as I could.

"Niall! Oh my God, Niall. I-I come here." She wrapped her arms around my neck and shoulders, squeezing me tight. I smiled in the hug.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

She just nodded, and pulled me too her again. I brought her to her feet, hugging her tight,

"Babe, I'm back, now let's go home.. Okay?"

We got into the car, and drove back to the apartment. Once we were home, we all went to change clothes. Audrey came into my room because she had given hers up so that Natalie would have a bed.

"I'm gonna go to the kitchen and get come snacks, Natalie said that she hopes you're better and 'sleep tight, and don't let the bed bugs bite,' she's going to bed now, she's gonna open earlier tomorrow," I told Audrey.

She laughed, "Okay, I'll go tell her goodnight, will you grab me some apple/berry sauce pouches, some popcorn and candy.. Pleaseeeee," she begged.

"Well, I guess," I laughed at her, we both walked out of the door.

When I got back from the kitchen, Audrey was in her bra, and panties, in my closet, slipping into one of my tee-shirts.

"Damn, babe," I said with her apple sauce pouch in my teeth.

She gasped, covering her body instantly. I set everything down on the bed, and began to walk toward her.

"You don't have to cover up.. Your body is perfect.."

She shook her head looking down at the floor. I lifted her head so our faces would be parallel.

"I swear to you.. You're perfect, Audrey, you're perfect," I promised her, "let's watch a movie."

She gave me that questioning look, and I just patted the spot next to me on the bed. There was no more argument.
