TW: Alcohol, Cringy behaviour

Jasper POV

I opened the door to our room and linked my hand with Dante's, pulling him through the door behind me. The girls followed in, and Alessa gasped as soon as she stepped inside.

"How on Earth is your room already dirty?" she asked, hands on her hips, looking around at the chaos that was our hotel room.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Blame Dante. It was him."

I knew I probably shouldn't have said anything, but it was too perfect of a moment. Dante flicked my arm in retaliation, his cheeks flushing with a mix of embarrassment and irritation.

"No, it wasn't! It was you!" he shot back.

"Ugh, who cares?" I said, throwing myself onto the bed and pulling Dante down with me. I grinned as he let out a groan, but he didn't try to escape. Instead, he just settled beside me, leaning into my side, as if he knew there was no point in fighting it.

I glanced around the room. Caius and Calum were sprawled out on Caius' bed, both of them looking half-amused by the exchange. Vera, Elysia and Luna were curled up on Calum's bed, both of them talking quietly, their laughter filling the space. Alessa, of course, was the one to settle next to me, sitting on the end of my bed with a sigh.

I shuffled my legs over to give her more room, making space for her to settle further on the mattress. She raised an eyebrow at me, a knowing smirk on her lips. I simply shrugged, gesturing for her to sit.

"Don't look at me like that," I said, trying to feign innocence. "We all know I'm the neat freak here."

Alessa laughed and slid farther up on the bed, her back resting against the headboard as she kicked her shoes off. "Right. Just like you're the one who made the mess?" She shook her head, the amused sparkle in her eyes never fading.

I leaned back, my head sinking into the pillow, with Dante pressed against me, his shoulder resting against mine. It felt... nice. Familiar. Comfortable.

It was hard not to grin. I felt like I was on top of the world with him beside me, the hum of our group in the background, the soft energy of everyone relaxing together after a day full of adventures.

"So," Alessa broke the silence, glancing over at the others as they continued to lounge. "What's the plan for tomorrow? Are we going to spend another day here in Philly or are we heading out to Washington?"

Caius shot her a mischievous look from across the room. "Oh, we're definitely going to Washington tomorrow. We've only got one more day before we hit the road again."

Calum, ever the one to keep things light, added with a grin, "As much as I love Philly, I think it's time to see what Washington's got in store for us."

Vera stretched, clearly enjoying the lazy mood that had settled over us. "Yeah, it'll be nice to switch things up. Philly's been fun, but Washington is next on the list."

I looked down at Dante, who was smiling softly against my side. He caught my gaze, his face turning just a little red as he seemed to pick up on my thoughts.

"Can't believe we're already leaving Philly," Dante murmured. "This place grew on me."

"Same," I said, squeezing his hand lightly. "But Washington's going to be a new adventure."

I sat up a bit, looking around at the group. The thought of heading to Washington made me excited. Another city to explore, another chance for new memories. But it was bittersweet, too—leaving Philly meant saying goodbye to the amazing time we'd had here.
