The Moon and The Star

chapter 3

Sirius's POV:
I watch Kat for a moment then flop back on my bed hitting the head board with my.. well head. Kat looks up when she hears the crack of skull on wood and the sound of James and Remus laughing at me. She starts to laugh but I see her eyes widen as mine go foggy. "Guys he is bleeding." She points out to James and Remus. They go silent immediately and all crowd next to me. Kat climbs on the bed next to me and picks up my head so she can see the back. I hear her gasp but it sounds like she is underwater. "Keep him awake! Remus get McGonagall!" She says quickly as I feel pressure on the back of my head. I see James walk forward and feel him shake me slightly.

"James get essince of ditanny out of my bag use the accio charm. Hurry." She says as she moves one hand. "Sorry Sirius." She apologizes before slapping me across the face once. James comes back and hands her a dropper bottle. She has him hold the cloth to my head and she measures out a few drops quickly. She then removes the cloth and drips the potion on the cut. The fogginess goes away immediately and is replaced by a slight burning. Remus runs back in followed by McGonagall who gasps at the sight in front of her. "What happened? How much blood has he lost?" She asks quickly walking over to me and Kat. "Well he fell back on his bed and cracked his head against the headboard. And let's just say that the cloth in my hand used to be white." Kat explains holding up the bloodsoaked cloth.

"Well Madame Pomfrey is on her way up and she will take him to the hospital wing. You three may accompanied him there and stay there if you so wish. Oh and Miss. Lupin he was very lucky that you knew what to do and didn't hesitate to do so. 20 points to griffendor." McGonagall says before leaving the room again. "Kat she is right. I am really impressed. Most girls cringe away from the sight of blood. So i apologize for thinking you would be just like all the other girls." James says to Kat as I rest my head in her lap. "It is fine James. But now you know don't think that all girls are the same because we are not. I mean seriously it is like me saying that all guys are the same and you three are some of the most different from each other ever so just don't generalize by gender." She replies as Madame Pomfrey walks into the room with a stretcher floating behind her. They get me on the stretcher and follow me and Pomfrey as we head to the hospital wing.

Remus's POV:
I give Kat a piggyback ride in the way to the hospital wing. I am lost in thought as sheets her head on my shoulder. I keep wondering how stupid Sirius can get. He was standing in the middle of his bed so he should know that flopping back won't really work. We then reach the hospital wing door and walk in. Sirius is placed on a bad and james sits in a chair next to him. I set Kat down and she sits at the end of his bed. I sit in the other chair and we all talk quietly for awhile. Sirius pokes Kat with his foot and motions for her to sit next to him. She does and he puts one arm over her shoulder. She leans into him a little bit and we continue to talk.

About a half hour latter Pomfrey has us go to sleep so we ask Kat to sing to us. She sings thousand years, mad world, and the lonely. James alls asleep before she finishes the first song. Sirius lasts till half way through the last one and I crash at the end of the last one. My dreams are a basic run through of the day but I dream about killing Sirius for fancying my sister.

The Next Day
Kat's POV:
I wake up to something warm to my right. I turn over and see Sirius. He has his arms around my waist and is looking up at the ceiling. When I turned over he looks down at me and smiles when he sees I am awake. "Thank you for saving me yesterday. I don't know why I flopped back since I was start ding in the middle of my bed but I am just stupid like that sometimes and I feel bad for making fun of you when you were the only one who was helping me and knew how." He says but he then continues rambling for awhile. He only stops when brush lips lightly against his jawline. He doesn't just stop talking he freezes. "Sirius you are one of my best friends. The teasing doesn't other me and I can't stay d it when my friends are hurt." I say looking into his eyes.

He nods but his eyes betray something else that is going in in his head. It looks like pain and jealousy but I am not sure since it was gone as fast as it came. He quickly let's my waist go as Remus and James wake up. Madame Pomfrey walks out of her office and checks him over quickly before letting him leave. We are about to leave when I realize we are still in our pajamas. "Hey guys I know this probably doesn't bother you three but we are a still in out pajamas and I am wearing really short shorts and I don't think you three want me to have to walk up seven flights of stairs like this."I point out. They stop and walk back over to me. "Two of you grab my hands and one of you grab my shoulders." I instruct.

They do as I say and I spin on my heel thinking about our room. When they open their eyes we are there. "Woah you can apparate!" James yells excited. "No I can't stupid. Besides you can't do that inside Hogwarts. I just used some of my powers it is called flashing." I respond as I grab some clean clothes. "Hey don't forget you have to prove us wrong today on the quidditch pitch." Remus reminds me smirking slightly. I nod as I walk to the bathroom to change.
