Today, I wasn't the one riding Spider in the race, cousin Rob was. They got third place, which isn't bad but it's not great either. He'd have gotten first if I was able to ride him in the race. Unfortunately for me, I was not able. He's never gotten third place before. He's always been the gold winner. Always. Without a doubt. Rob just lost focus and let other horses ahead of Spider. My cos is not cut out for horse racing. I can see that clearly now. Alas, he is family and also the only replacement I could find on such short notice. I'll just have to put up with the losses I guess, but I'm definitely not happy about it at all. You hear me! At all!
