Sometimes I wonder, what if happiness actually exists? But then I see you....
You were supposed to be my pillar but instead, you became a wall hiding the world from me. I needed you to become the wind beneath my wings but you became the blow torch that burnt my dreams. I always knew that silence spoke louder than words, but didn't know it could be deafening until you decided to never utter a word.
You expect me to fly but you won't open the shackles around my feet. You want me to know all the directions but also blindfolded me and won't let me see the world. You won't teach me how to hear but get mad when I don't understand the meaning behind your silence.
Your expectations are weighing me down now. I cannot fly with you hovering over my head. I can't spread my wings inside your cage. I need space to learn, at my own pace. I cannot listen to the stories of the world with your screaming voice echoing inside my head.
You were supposed to be my home but instead, you became the hell I so desperately want to escape.
You were supposed to shield me from the world but instead, I'm finding corners to hide from you.
I was supposed to be yours but I became mine more...
-Ish, trying to spell home without "you"
