"What do you want, Auburella?"

Here she was, the American girl who sat across the boy that made her life a living hell. Here she sits, asking, no begging for help. For the sake of her friends, her ego would be let down. The blonde looked down, expressionless.

"Are you deaf now? You seemed to be pretty energetic when you threw that damn chair in my face."  Damon spiked; here he sat inpatient and annoyed.

Auburella, fear in her chest, picked her fingers, blood almost coming out.

"You knew Kelly Owens, right?? she managed, her voice steady despite the knot in her throat.

Damon leaned back, crossing his arms with an infuriating smile. "Oh, now you need me?" His tone dripped with mockery. "Suck my dick Auburella."

Auburella sighed quietly and tried to keep her anger in. "Kelly died, and... and I think your father had something to do with it."

Damon scoffed deeply and started laughing. "Wow," he clapped loud enough for the birds to leave its trees.

"This new, now you're blaming my father? After your mother stole money from us? After basically trying to kill me?" He laughed some more, his laughter entering Auburella's mind.

"I know what your father does, Damon; you know what he does," she whispered, her voice nearly breaking. "I know how he uses people, how he collects debts. Kelly was in debt to him, wasn't she?"

"So what if Kelly was in debt? You think I care; you think I'd know?" Damons anger sparked.

Auburella glared at Damon. "Yes, Damon, I do think you'd know. Or at least care enough to find out. You think we don't notice how much you've tried to distance yourself from him? You're afraid of him, too."

Damon's jaw clenched. "Auburella, you don't know shit about me," he snapped, leaning forward. "And dragging me into this little conspiracy of yours won't make your life any easier if my father finds out your trying to scope information." He whispered,

"He'll kill you."

"Just like he did to Kelly?"

Damon clicked his tongue, looking away. But his silence spoke louder than his words. Auburella pressed on, sensing she'd struck a nerve until he eventually gave in.

"Alright, I'll help you, but this is how we're going to work."

The boys managed to sneak into the girls dorm room the same way. As they relaxed there, the door swung open, and Auburella walked in, her face tense. The boys immediately stopped what they were doing.

"Well? How'd it go?"

Sage placed the cup of tea down, and Dina stopped cooking.

Auburella took a deep breath, crossing her arms as she prepared to explain. "We need to meet with her mother right now." Everyone froze, but Sage spoke up, "Like right now? Right now?"

Auburella nodded. "Apparently, Damon's father had a deal gone wrong with Kelly's mother. It's a long ass crappy story, but Kelly's mother lives close to the school. So we can take this as a chance."

Miles looked sceptical. "Then what? Ask her questions, like we're police? We can't just show up."

Dina glanced around the room, nodding in agreement. "24-hour lockdown, how will we even get there?"

Grey sat up a plan in his mind. "We could steal one of the teachers cars." He grinned.

Miles eyes went wide. "Steal a teacher's car? Are you insane, Grey? We're already in deep enough."
