"Is everything alright," Linda asks. "Fine," Ella grumbled. "No this psycho was trying to kill me, she need to be detained," Liz retorted. "Kill you, honey if that was killing you must be a roach- well you are a roach, creepy, invasive, and disgusting," Ella said. Liz sighed. "If you'd woman up a little, just a little a slap might not be so fucking murderous," Ella huffed. "I would've slapped you back, but that'd be animal abuse," Liz snapped, swiping a hair behind her ear.

Ella turned around aroused by the sentence, "You wanna go bitch, let's go!" Placing one hand on Ella's shoulder leading her out of the room, Linda spoke,"Now now ladies, let's try to act civil."

Ella shrugged and followed Linda down the oak narrowing hallway. "Would you care to explain what that was about," Linda prompted. "bad blood," Ella answered. "Do share," Linda said opening the glass door to her vanilla scented office. "I'm not drunk enough," Ella remarked.
Linda went behind her Mahogony desk pulling out a Chrystal server.

"We can fix that. Gin or Brandy?" "Got any vodka?" Ella asked. Clanking the server as she set it in her desk Linda spoke, "that bad?". Ella rolled her head around before spitting out her response, "yes." Linda raised out of her chair, opening Ella's vision to her slim bodice.

"Let's go," Linda said. Ella bit the sides of her cheeks, following Linda out the door, " my assistant," Ella mumbled.
Linda chuckled, "someone's competent enough to give him a lift," Linda replied. Ella smiled at the snap of her words, just as straight as her own dialogue.

"Tim, let Liz know we'll have to reschedule, and get a driver for Mr. Uh," Linda hand lingered in the air as she tried to come up with his name- before looking to Ella. "Browbanks," Ella completed.

"Charlie, Two coconut vodkas on the rocks," Linda called to the bartender, before guiding Ella to her usual side table. "You come here often," Ella asked. "Life is a big pile of garbage, everyone gets wasted," Linda said cleverly. Ella smiled politely, admiring the place.

The walls were tiled with green glass that seemed to Absorb Ella's unease rather than reflect it. The countertops were jet black, and swanky chandeliers headed all the tables, white collar couples danced across the smooth linoleum floors as music pumped through the sky high speakers mounted on the wall. This was a high class bar, in a no class city, Ella thought.

"Here you are ladies." Ella turned to see a grim looking waiter, smelling of aftershave and beer- holding a tray helplessly on his left arm. "Thank you," Linda replied, taking their drinks off the tray and sliding them on the table.
"Heres to old bullshit," Linda raised her glass. Clanking it with Linda's, Ella swirled the glass around in her hand before lifting it to her violet coated lips. "Ah that's good," Ella said returning her glass to the tables surface. " you're not a sipper, I take it," Linda remarked. Ella smiled before answering in an overplayed accent,"Southern charm is for southern princesses, do you see a tiara?" Linda chuckled. "Another drink to that," Linda shouted, signaling to the waiter.
"and here I thought you were a southern princess," Ella daunted. "I'm afraid my crown is made of plastic," Linda smirked after saying. "Takes a damn queen to admit those words," Ella said, taking another drink off the tray.
"You seem a lot like me," Linda said. "We're all just ghosts, we all shared the same soul once," Ella stated.

"Ghosts, but we're living," Linda said, resting her chin on her shoulders. "Are you afraid of ghosts," Ella asked, popping an olive in her mouth. "Honestly? Yes," Linda answered. " when you get up in the morning, and smear that red gloss on your luscious soft lips, " Ella bit her cheek, before continuing, "you stare at a ghost, for ages." "What?" Linda leaned across the black table top, and whispered, "Dear, I'm afraid you're making no sense."  You're a ghost driving a flesh coated skeleton, what is there to be scared of?" Ella cleared her throat, throwing her sapphire eyes away to resist the lust that was filling their sockets. "Never thought of it that way," Linda replied, " sounds like some genius thing out of a book." Linda slid her glass to the end of the table, which looked much like a distillery at this point.

Ella leaned across the table, until her eyes were synced up to Linda's. "I am a book, can't you read the sentences that lie in my eyes."
"I'm a magazine editor, I don't read sentences," Linda paused, "I read the spaces in between."
Linda's cool white skin grazed Ella's cheek as her red lip stain collided with the ever dulling shade of violet as their mouths met....
