The sun rose high in the sky, casting golden light over the shoreline where Giorno and Seraphina had spent the early hours together. Seraphina’s heart was still racing, both from the lingering thrill of her transformation and from the simple, warm happiness of sitting beside Giorno. The world around her felt vast and new, and Giorno had promised to show it to her, bit by bit, starting with the people who meant the most to him.
“Are you ready?” Giorno asked, his expression a mix of excitement and mild concern. He knew his team well, but he also knew they could be a little… overwhelming, especially for someone who had just learned to walk on land.
Seraphina took a deep breath, straightening the oversized coat he had given her to ward off the morning chill. She’d chosen to keep it draped over her shoulders, the unfamiliar weight making her feel grounded. “Ready as I’ll ever be,” she replied, her voice steady even as her heart pounded.
Giorno nodded, offering her a small smile before leading the way. The team was gathered at a small villa they used as a base—a place tucked away from prying eyes, where they could relax and plan without interruption. As they approached, Seraphina took in the elegant, sun-washed building, surrounded by lush greenery. Birds chirped in the branches above, and she caught the faint scent of flowering plants. She couldn’t help but smile, letting the atmosphere soothe her nerves.
Inside, voices echoed from a nearby room, and she heard laughter—warm, genuine. She hadn’t expected these hardened fighters to sound so… carefree. Giorno opened the door, and all eyes turned toward them, silence falling as the team noticed Seraphina at his side.
“Hey, Giorno!” a familiar voice called out, followed by a friendly grin. Bruno Bucciarati stepped forward, his gaze flicking over Seraphina with polite curiosity. He wore his usual white suit, patterned with black symbols, and his hair was neatly styled, as if he’d prepared for this meeting with his usual meticulous care.
“Everyone,” Giorno said, his voice clear and steady, “this is Seraphina.”
Seraphina managed a small smile, feeling the weight of several sets of curious eyes on her. She recognized the authority in Bruno’s stance, the way his calm yet intense gaze seemed to read more than she was saying. She sensed right away that he was someone Giorno held in deep respect.
“Seraphina,” Bruno said, offering a hand. “It’s good to meet you.” His voice was gentle, friendly but laced with a quiet authority. She shook his hand, nodding in acknowledgment.
“I’ve heard a lot about you,” she replied, her voice soft but confident. “Giorno speaks very highly of you.”
Bruno smiled, clearly pleased. “I’m glad to hear it. We don’t often get the chance to meet Giorno’s… friends.”
Giorno cleared his throat, glancing sideways at her. “Actually,” he said, his voice holding a touch of nervousness, “Seraphina is… my girlfriend.”
A ripple of surprise moved through the room, but Seraphina noticed the expressions around her shift quickly from shock to curiosity, then to approval. Apparently, they weren’t the type to waste time with disbelief. Instead, they seemed eager to learn more.
“That’s fantastic!” said Narancia, grinning widely. He stepped forward, bouncing with energy, his expressive eyes shining with excitement. “So, how’d you meet? Did Giorno sweep you off your feet with his, you know, all serious and quiet stuff?”
Seraphina chuckled, casting a glance at Giorno. “It was… a bit of a surprise,” she admitted. “One moment I was… somewhere familiar, and the next, there he was, changing everything.”
Narancia’s grin widened. “I knew it! Giorno’s the type to make a strong first impression.” He leaned in closer, his curiosity clearly getting the better of him. “So, what do you do, Seraphina?”
