As soon as the bell rang, Jayden and Konner filed out of the classroom together, their test results already a distant memory as they made their way into the bustling hallway. Jayden was still riding the quiet relief of having survived another week of assignments and deadlines, but as they reached the lockers, an all-too-familiar voice pierced through the chatter.

"Heyyy, boys!" Julio's unmistakable voice rang out as he sauntered over, a wide grin plastered across his face.

Jayden turned around, feeling his shoulders tense. He knew that grin—it always meant Julio was up to something. Konner, on the other hand, seemed genuinely amused as Julio dramatically threw an arm over both their shoulders.

"Guess what?" Julio said, practically bouncing with excitement. "I'm throwing the biggest party this weekend, and you two are officially invited!"

Konner raised his eyebrows, looking intrigued. "A party, huh? That sounds... interesting."

Jayden, however, felt his stomach twist at the mention of a party. Big crowds, loud music, and endless socializing weren't exactly his scene. Parties were places where he felt lost in the noise, a hundred people talking over each other, the chaotic energy that always made his nerves spike. But he didn't want to seem rude, especially with Julio looking at him with such hopeful excitement.

"Uh... that sounds fun, Julio," Jayden said, forcing a small smile.

"Fun? It's going to be epic, Jay! Music, lights, the whole deal. Plus, you two need to loosen up a little," Julio teased, nudging Jayden lightly. "I promise it'll be chill, alright? You can stick with me if you're nervous."

Jayden looked down, fidgeting with his sleeve. He didn't want to disappoint his friend, but the thought of being surrounded by people, not knowing what to say, just made him anxious.

"Yeah, Jayden, it'll be fun. We'll be there," Konner chimed in, giving Jayden an encouraging smile. "I'll keep an eye on you. We can just hang out together if it's too much."

Jayden glanced between the two of them, seeing how genuinely excited they both were. Despite his anxiety, a part of him felt reassured. With Konner and Julio by his side, maybe he could give it a try.

"Alright... I guess I'll come," Jayden finally said, a hesitant smile tugging at his lips.

"That's the spirit!" Julio cheered, practically dancing in place. "This is gonna be the best party of the year. You guys won't regret it, I swear!"

Jayden laughed nervously, feeling his heart race a little. He had no idea what to expect, but with his friends around him, maybe this party wouldn't be so bad after all.
