Noah

"Goodbye Noah, see you tomorrow." Maya called out to me

"Yeah,goodnight, " I said.

Over the summer my grandfather tasked me with the job of being Event Manager of Miramor's vip lounge Miramor Luxe. It was an VIP special access lounge located in Miramor hotels which served to host celebrities, other VIP members, high end clientele and top quality events. This year I was tasked with organizing Miramors 50th annual legacy ball, in which it celebrates its 50th year of succession. I would handle everything from our guest lists and decorations to awarding top investors and opening doors for new business arrangements.

My grandfather Oscar Carson, is the chairman of Miramor. A top luxury hotel business conglomerate which consisted in multiple hotel chains worldwide, a travel airline service and off duty brand clothes. We are currently ranked in the top 5 worldwide in Travelers Choice Awards, ranking us in a networth of $1.4 billion. And my grandfather was preparing me to become Miramor's new heir.

I was ending my shift and walking outside when I got a phone call.

Ring RIng RIng

I picked up the phone and answered, it was Damian, one of my roommates.

"Hey where are you, I'm pulling into the front of the hotel." He said.

" I'm walking down the stairs." I responded. I saw his car pulling up at the bottom of the stairs. I walked towards the car and opened the door.

Damian and I have been friends since our freshman year at Thornhill, he was also one of my roommates. He was one of the few people I'd ever met that tried to become genuine friends with me, and wasn't just ass kissing because of my family's money. Turns out we had more in common than we thought and we just enjoyed each other's company. Since then I've considered him one of my best friends. Though you'd never hear me say out loud because he'd end up rubbing that in my face.

Once I got in the car we started making our way to pick up Alex.

"Hey, text Alex and tell him we're coming." Damian said.

I texted Alex and told him that we were on our way and to hurry the hell up because I did not want to wait around for him. Alex was our 3 roommate and my other close friend. I had known Alex the longest since our families were very close when we were younger he attend my middle school as an exchange student. My grandfather invited Alex to stay with us while he was studying abroad here. Alex was more of a pain in the ass rather than a friend to be honest. Sometimes it sounded and looked like we were going to rip each other apart. But in the end we always made up and stood by one another, no matter how much he got on my nerves,he was like a brother.

But anyways, Alex is the nerdiest person you'd ever meet but when you first get to know him you wouldn't assume he was a nerd. He had brown hair and green eyes and an ego of a frat boy. But once you get to know him past all of his miss leading persona you'll see that he really was some nerd that enjoyed math and science.

We arrived in front of the building that Alex was interning in. He interned in a science and mathematics program in which they were given real life problem situations and had to come up with a somewhat reasonable solution. World renowned scientists and even diplomats attended so they could inspire the younger generation and get fresh new perspectives on things. Although the students were guaranteed to be the best of the best, it was exclusively open to only 20 out of 120,000 of candidates who passed the exam. Alex ranked 7th amongst them.

We saw him coming out of the building and waved him down.

He opened the backdoor, and practically threw himself across the backseat.
