Lilly

One week later

"Beep beep beep" My alarm clock went off. I lifted my head and stopped the alarm.

7.00 Ugh

I went back to sleep, class doesn't start till 8.45 and it's only a 5 min walk to the school. So I had time. 5 min passed when Emma came bursting into my room.

"Lilly, it's time to get up, the first day is really important so we can't rush but only take our time." Emma said happily.

"Ugh, what time did you wake up?" I said sleepy, I had slowly gotten up.

"6.00 on the dot." she said

She still had some hair curlers in her hair.

Omg,this is too early for this.

After a couple minutes of contemplating my life I got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom and got ready. I showered, brushed my teeth, and did my makeup. I did a simple light makeup look. I would apply lip products after eating breakfast.

I walked over to my wardrobe to get my uniform. Thornhill did have a dress code, everyone was required to wear a uniform. A dark red blazer with tie and a dark gray skirt. On important days like today everyone was required to wear the blazers but other days you can style your uniform whichever way you want. I got dressed and started doing my hair. My hair was naturally wavy but for today I decided to curl it to make it more defined. I curled it and tucked a few strands behind my ear.

"Perfect," I said smiling into the mirror.

One of the features that I liked about my smile were my dimples. They just made me feel happy, I didn't know why but I did. I had a very "average" look, I had medium length brown hair, brown eyes, and being 5,5ft. There wasn't much that stood out about me unlike Emma. She had beautiful black hair, blueish greenish eyes, and confidence painted on her lips whenever she wore red lipstick. She was someone who was meant to stand out, but that's why I love dimples because they were something that not everyone had and something that made me stand out. It may sound silly but it was something that I've always treasured.

I walked out to the kitchen and saw Emma eating breakfast, she still had her hair rollers in her head but her makeup was all done.

"Moring." I greeted, I wasn't fully awake when Emma came in to wake me up so I greeted her now.

"Good morning, Lils." She said, she seemed way to happy for the first day of school.

I walked over and opened up our pantry for some breakfast. The cool thing about being in charge of your own groceries is that we were able to buy whatever we wanted. So we had a variety to choose from; junk food, random foods we wanted to try, food from our cultures ect.

What should I eat today, hmm.

I grabbed this strawberry smoothie packet. I brought these the other day and you just had to add whatever liquid you wanted. I was going to add half milk and water. I started blending everything together and poured it into a cup. It just made everything much easier to make smoothies.

Perfect

Then I started to make my waffles, topped with strawberry syrup and whipped cream. If you couldn't tell, I really liked strawberries.

I brought all my things to the table and started eating. Emma was having a latte and lavender lemon croissant.

"So are you going to have enough time for your hair?" I asked taking a bite of my waffle. It was now 8:15 and we had to leave around 8:30 since we still had to get our of class schedule.
