Hayes POV

*The Next Day*

I lay in my bed, still numb to the thought that Sarah is gone. Everything happened so fast. She was the love of my life. I wanted to marry her and have a family when we were older, now I don't know what to do.

She was my best friend, and my girlfriend. The sweetest person I've ever met. She made me so happy, happier than anyone else could've.

I hear my door open and see Nash standing in the doorway.

"Hey bro, how are you?"

"Numb. In absolute shock."

A single tear comes down my face.

"I'm so sorry, Hayes. I know how much she meant to you. The funeral's next week. Maybe bring a momentum that you want buried with her."

*Next Week (At Sarah's Funeral)*

I sit in the front row of the funeral. I look at her beautiful casket, covered in daisy's, her favorite flower. I hold a photo of us in my hand, tear stains all over it.

"We will now hear a few words from Sarah's close friend, Hayes," The speaker says.

I get up and stand next to Sarah's casket, putting the picture underneath some flowers.

"Sarah was one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever met in my life. And I know I'm only 14, but I've met some pretty cold people, and Sarah wasn't one of them. Her spirit shined bright, her smile would light up a room full of darkness, and her laugh, don't even get me started on her laugh. Her laugh was so infectious. I pictured us getting married and having a family one day, words cannot express the amount of pain and sadness I am feeling right now. I loved her with all of my heart. Sarah deserved way more than 14 years on this earth. The earth needs more Sarah Harding's. And by the way, I wasn't just Sarah's close friend, I was her boyfriend." I look at the speaker and head back to my seat.

"That was beautiful, Hayes," Ms. Harding tears up.

"Thanks."

Sarah was, well, pretty much everything I said in my eulogy, and then some.

*Back At Home*

I sit at my desk in my room, with a piece of paper in front of me, and a pen in my hand.

The paper reads:

Dear my beautiful family,

I love you all and I know when you're reading this, I will already be long gone.

There is nothing you guys can do to stop me, and I'm not trying to sound like an ass when I'm saying that, I am simply saying that there is no other way for me to be happy.

I hope you understand.

I cannot live one more day without Sarah. She meant too much to me.

I am going to join her in heaven, the only place where I'll be truly happy.

I'm sorry, and I love you.

-Hayes

I grab my gun that I have under my bed for in case of emergency, I put one bullet in it, hold it up to my temple, and pull the trigger.

BANG.
