A Request To My Readers

Hello, everyone! First of all I'd like to share a bit about myself and my experience as a new writer on Wattpad. I'm a 17-year-old girl who has recently started taking my writing more seriously. While some might assume that my age means my writing is not good enough, I assure you that my stories are well written with care and passion. I'm managing both my studies and my writing together, so if I disappear for a while, please know that I haven't abandoned my novel; I'm likely caught up in my academic shits.

I began writing this story on October 27th, and to my delight, within just two days, I received positive feedback about my writing. The support and encouragement I've received have been incredibly uplifting and have boosted my confidence as a new author. I was determined to build momentum and posted a chapter every day for three days, which earned me 100 views. This milestone filled me with happiness and motivation.

However, I soon faced a challenge: my view count plateaued, and I became disheartened. I took a week-long break from writing, but I'm glad to be back and focused on my story once again. I've realized that while some readers have expressed their love for my work, they haven't been actively engaging with it by voting, commenting, or following my profile. I understand that this isn't intentional, but I hope that readers can spare a minute to engage with my story in these ways. After all, I invest hours into writing each chapter, and your support would mean the world to me.

I kindly request that if you're reading and engaging with my story, please be consistent. I've had a few readers who initially showed interest but then suddenly stopped engaging. If you decide to stop reading because you're no longer enjoying the story, please let me know. If you're too busy to continue, that's perfectly fine too. However, please don't disappear without a word, as it can be incredibly discouraging for a new author like myself. Waiting eagerly for feedback after pouring my heart into a chapter, only to receive silence, can be disheartening and make me question whether I should continue writing.

Your honesty and communication are greatly appreciated. If you're quitting because you're not enjoying the story, I completely understand. But please, if you must leave, let me know. Your engagement, even if it's to say goodbye, means more than you know.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far. Your encouragement and feedback have been invaluable, and I look forward to sharing more stories with you in the future. Happy reading!
