ALAINA'S POV
My breath was caught in my throat after reading the letter. Tears were falling down my face. I then heard the door open and flinched. I looked towards the door and saw that it was Ahaan. He looked at me and ran towards me. He came in front of me and crouched down.
"What's wrong. Why are you crying?" He questioned. I could not answer and just handed him the letter. He furrowed his brows and took it from me. He read it and he looked furious would be an understatement. He then took his phone out and texted someone.
"Baby please calm down. He won't be able to touch you" he said while holding my hand but tears kept streaming down my eyes.
Soon the door opened again and this time Dad and Arhaan came in. Dad came towards me and hugged me.
"Alaina calm down. You will get sick" he said rubbing my back
"W-what if he takes me or something?" I said sobbing.
"He won't baby. I promise" he said pecking my forehead. He then pulled back and said
"Now how about we go and watch a movie" he said
"But I have to study" I said
"You can study later" he said
"But.." I was saying but Ahaan cut me off
"No but and if. Let's go watch a movie" he said
"Btw guess what" said Arhaan
"What?" I said
"I got you some brownies" he said and my eyes lit up
"Really" I said and he nodded
"Now let's go" said Ahaan and I nodded. He then led me to the theatre room. We all then entered the theatre room.
"What do you want to watch?" Ahaan questioned
"Umm Ginny and Georgia" I said
"Okay" he said and searched for it
"It's a series tho" he said
"I know that but I want to watch it " I said and he nodded
"Guys I'll join you in a bit. I have some important work" dad said getting up
"Did you find him?" I questioned
"No but we will soon" he said coming towards me and pecking me forehead
"Don't worry about it. We will catch him soon" dad said and I nodded . Dad then left and we started the series
(1 hour later)
"So you are telling me that Georgia had Ginny when she was 15" said Arhaan
"Yes Arhaan" I said irritated. They have been bugging me with questions about the series. Can't they just watch it quietly
"Damnn. Kids these days" he said
"You are talking as if you are 60 plus with 6 kids and 10 or so grand children" i said
"Hey I'm old but still, a child at 15 is crazy. You better not do shit like that" he said
"First of all, I won't I'm not stupid and second of all let me watch the series peacefully" I said
"Why is Maxine crushing over silver?" Ahaan questioned
"Ughhh are you that stupid. She is a lesbian you idiot. I swear Ahaan more word out of your mouth and I will choke you" I said. He then thinned his lips and concentrated on the series. Aww the bold mafia man is scared.
"Why did Marcus break up with Ginny?" Questioned Arhaan after an hour of silence. Ughh they are annoying me so much right now
"Because he is depressed and is not thinking straight" I replied
"But still, he could use some of his brain. It's not that hard." he said again
"It's easy for you to say because gods grace you have not been through something like that. But it does not work like that, sometimes a switch goes off in depressed people and their mind goes south. Depression is not easy. It leaves deep scars on people even after they get better" I said and he nodded. I think he got the message.
"Can you get me the brownies?" I asked Arhaan
"Sure" he said and got up to get me some
He soon came in with brownies and a plate of roti sabzi. He sat down and kept the brownies aside as he faced me and said
"You have to eat this first then you can have the brownies" he said
"No I want the brownies" I said
"Alaina, you have not eaten anything for lunch too. You will eat this without any complains" Arhaan said
"Pleaseeeee" I said showing puppy eyes but he was adamant
"No. You won't get the brownies unless you finish this" he said I then turned to Ahaan for support
"Sorry princess but I'm on his side with this one. Please eat a bit" Ahaan said
"Okay fine I will eat but only one roti" I said
"You will finish both of them" They both said in a union
"But you said I have to eat a bit and not the whole thing" I said
"You have to eat the whole thing" they both said in a union again
"You can keep your brownies to yourself" I hugged and bought my attention back to the series
"Please eat it. Umm if you eat both of the roti, you can eat anything for dinner" said Ahaan
"Anything?" I questioned
"Yes" he said
"Okay then I'll eat I guess" I said. I'll probably ask for ice cream for dinner. I was gonna take the plate from Arhaan when he pulled it back and said
"I'll feed you"
"Okay" I said. He started to feed me. I ate one and half roti without any tantrums but I really could not eat anymore so I'll showed them my puppy face.
"It won't work Alaina. When it's related to your health, your puppy face won't work" said Ahaan and I just sulked and ate rest of my food. Soon I finished and Arhaan gave me the brownies
"So now you are hungry" said Ahaan
"You have a special place for desserts in you stomach" I said and he chuckled
I ate my brownies and we continued watching the series. After about 1 hour, my eyes started to droop and I think Arhaan noticed it as he gently pulled me towards himself and put my head on his chest. He then started patting my head to put me to sleep and soon I was out
"Love you little baby" I heard Arhaan say as he pecked my forehead before sleeping

Sorry I could not upload yesterday as I got looked out of my account and got it back today ( I had forgotten my password so yeah it took a while🥲). I had lost the recent chapter draft so I had re write it again.
