For the next few days, Valeria was lost in thought. The question she had long avoided now played over and over in her mind: "Who am I, really?" She had done everything expected of her as a mother and wife, but in the process, she had lost sight of who she was as a person. She had given everything for her family, but now she wondered if, by doing so, she had stopped being herself.
That night, after putting the kids to bed, Valeria sat alone in the living room with the leather-bound notebook. For years, she had avoided thinking about her dreams, but now, after reading the words in that notebook, something inside her stirred. The passion, the hope, and the determination she had felt in her youth returned strongly, like a river that couldn’t be stopped.
"What if I never try to make my dreams come true?" she thought. She knew she was afraid—afraid it might be too late, afraid that her family wouldn’t understand. But she also knew she could no longer ignore what she felt deep inside.
