"I'm pretty sure hyunjin hates me."
minho said, taking a bite out of the chocolate chip cookie.
yes, he was indeed right once again.
of course he had to stuff it in jisungs face the entire time.
ever since they stole the apple pie, they had this little tradition that one of them would steal two pieces of the dessert and bring them into the stables at seven.
more specifically, into mae's cage.
and more specifically, minho was the one usually doing it.
jisung did it like two times, and he almost got caught both times.
they had a blanket over themselves, since it was getting a little cold after seven in the stables, and a lantern on the ground, providing them all of the light they needed.
"why would he hate you?"
jisung chuckled, taking a bite out of the cookie.
"I don't know, but he was staring at me the entire dinner."
minho said.
"maybe he likes you."
jisung smirked.
"it wasn't a look of love, it was a look of jealousy."
minho said.
"how can you even know that? have you been staring at him back the entire dinner?"
jisung chuckled.
"no, but you just...get the vibes from it, you know? whenever someone is staring at you and you get this weird feeling like they want to pounce on you and murder you...I had that feeling during dinner."
minho said, putting the blanket over himself properly.
"I'm pretty sure you're overreacting."
jisung playfully rolled his eyes, taking a bite from his cookie.
"you were probably just imagining it."
"I am stupid and paranoid, but trust me when I tell you I know looks and feelings."
minho said, looking at jisung.
"have you ever thought about...I don't know, if hyunjin likes you?"
"pff, you sound like felix right now."
jisung rolled his eyes.
"he practically won't shut up with this."
"so it's not just me who gets that vibe."
minho whispered.
"hyunjin doesn't like me. trust me on that."
jisung said.
"besides, hyunjin is really straightforward. if he actually liked me, he would have told a long time ago."
"and do you have feelings for hyunjin?"
minho asked, genuinely curious.
jisung shook his head.
"I can't imagine being with him in a romantic relationship. I feel we're too different for that."
minho nodded.
"well, at least you have your feelings assorted."
"of course. I'm pretty down to earth."
jisung tilted his head.
"that's the best thing for you. don't be delusional, and see things for what it is."
"you know that delusional can be from both sides right?"
minho asked.
"hyunjin could like you and you're just being delusional about it and not wanting to see it."
"okay, how about we stopped talking about me and hyunjin? I'm getting enough of that every single day with lix, I do not need you to join."
jisung said.
"if two people are saying that-"
"seven actually."
minho said, taking a bite from his cookie.
"what the fuck you mean seven?"
jisung asked, a little horrified.
"well, I think that hyunjin has some feelings towards you, and you told me that felix won't shut up about it, so that makes two. mingi, san and wooyoung also talked about it when I was working with them, so that makes five, and I can't forget about the two dummies jake and jay, who were always annoying hyunjin with talks about you."
minho said.
"the fuck?"
jisung was actually horrified now.
"mhm. so practically the whole ranch is shipping you."
minho said, looking at jisung.
"but I still don't think he likes me. I would notice."
jisung shrugged.
"and besides, if he doesn't confess, there isn't a real answer."
"there is jisung."
minho said.
"the look in his eyes."
"the look in his eyes?"
jisung repeated, a little confused.
minho nodded, looking at the lantern.
"yeah, sometimes stares can say much more then words. sometimes when I see you with hyunjin, I can see this spark in his eyes that isn't really there when he's with anyone else. well, I'm here for only a week, so I don't know, but I do know the look of love. and I'm not even talking about the fact he was disappointed when you said that you went on a lunch with me and forgot about him anymore."
jisung sighed.
"I still think that if he doesn't say it to me directly, I shouldn't even think about it."
"what would you do if hyunjin came here, right now, and told you that he likes you?"
minho asked, looking back at jisung.
jisung stayed silent.
"like I said, I don't think I should-"
"it's a hypothetical question."
minho shrugged.
"well, first of all I would say we aren't in some kdrama or wattpad cliche story, and that it won't happen."
jisung started.
"but like I said, I don't have any feelings for hyunjin. I can't picture myself being his boyfriend."
"so you would refuse him?"
minho asked.
"this is getting really annoying."
jisung rolled his eyes, resting his head on his knees.
"okay, sorry, I will stop."
minho chuckled a bit, before looking back at the lantern.
"you know what?"
"mhm?"
jisung hummed, looking at minho.
"you feel like a true friend to me. we know each other for a week, but I feel like I'm closer to you then some of my friends from home."
minho said.
"how is it like? you know, a life in a city?"
jisung asked.
minho shook his head.
"not that interesting. worse air, better Wi-Fi."
jisung chuckled, before resting his head on Minhos shoulder.
"you're right tho. I enjoyed my time with you, it's really...natural. I can be myself."
minho smiled a little, resting his head on top of jisungs.
"yeah, I can agree on that part."
a comfortable silence fell on top of them, and before they knew it, they have both fallen asleep.
