minho was in the kitchen, helping grandma with the dishes.
it's been a few days since he and jisung started officially dating.
and minho couldn't be more happier.
his heart was lifted into the air whenever he saw the younger smile, or whenever he heard his laugh...or when he listened to his singing.
gosh, that might be the best feeling ever.
"so, minho..."
grandma stared.
"...what has been going on between you and jisung?"
minho choked on his saliva.
"uhm...what do you mean?"
"my dear minho. we have dinner every single day together, don't you think I wouldn't notice how you're always looking at jisung with those love eyes?"
grandma nudged minho a bit.
"I..."
minho was actually speechless.
"grandma always knows."
grandma said.
"so...am I correct? do you like jisung?"
minho smiled slightly.
grandma didn't seem like she was disgusted with the thought of him liking boys, she was genuinely curious.
"yeah...I do like him."
"well, isn't that cute."
grandma said.
"you're having your romantic summer love story on a ranch! that feels like it was taken from some American movie!"
minho looked down in embarrassment, a blush appearing on his face.
"so, are you guys...like...a thing?"
grandma asked.
minho paused a little, before nodding slightly.
"mhm."
"oh my! how long are you guys officially boyfriends?"
grandma asked.
"just three days."
minho said, getting more comfortable talking about this topic.
"wow! well, you know what they say, love comes when you least expect it."
grandma smiled.
minho groaned.
"I hate that saying."
"but on the other hand, it's true, isn't it?"
grandma patted Minhos back.
"but I'm curious, are you staying here for the additional month just because of him?"
minho tilted his head.
"well, he's a big reason for that. I don't think I'm ready to leave him behind so soon. but of course, I'm really enjoying my time here, with you, and with my new friends."
"I'm just gonna tell you one thing minho."
grandma said, getting a bit serious.
"as beautiful as summer love can be, it's also very cruel. two months together will pass like a water, and before you know it, you will be back to your usual life. but jisung won't be there. don't let your brain tell you otherwise, and don't get that much used to his company. you will feel much lonelier when you leave if you do that."
minho looked down.
"everyone has been telling me that. you, hyunjin-"
"do you think I never experienced summer love?"
grandma chuckled.
"I'm saying this because it's true. I'm just looking out for you. there is a chance that you will never see jisung again after this summer. are you ready to accept that?"
"you don't want me to come back next year?"
minho asked.
"I of course didn't say that."
grandma shook her head.
"but I'm just saying, you grew up. you stopped coming over. your dreams and reality changed. that's something that can happen with jisung as well. maybe you will meet someone in the city, and you won't even remember him few years from now."
"well...I like to take risks."
Minho said.
grandma gave him a small smile.
"and I'm here for it. I just hope deep down that everything will work out for the two of you."

"what do you mean by that?"
jisung asked, a little shocked.
they were currently in the stables, laying on a fresh pile of straw, a blanket over them, while a very familiar lantern was keeping them company.
"I guess we're just too obvious."
minho chuckled, resting his head on top of jisung's.
"apparently she noticed a while ago."
"what...what did she think about our relationship?"
jisung asked.
minho smiled a little.
"she's happy for us, and she's okay with it, so don't worry your head with that."
jisung sighed, relieved.
"I mean...it's not like I ever thought she was homophobic, but you never know."
"mhm."
minho nodded.
"so, tomorrow is Sunday."
"mhm."
"does that mean the kids will come over?"
"of course, like very Sunday."
jisung smiled.
"will we take them to the waterfall again? they
love it there."
minho said.
"if they want to. you know how excited they were last week to go there? the first thing I heard from wookang was 'will we go to the waterfall again?'. I was worried someone will hear him."
jisung said.
minho chuckled.
he could feel jisung shivering a little, so he pulled him closer to himself.
"are you cold?"
"just a bit."
jisung said, resting his head on Minhos chest.
"I'm not anymore tho."
Minho smiled, putting the blanket over them more properly.
"I'm getting a bit sleepy."
jisung whispered, closing his eyes.
"then go to sleep."
Minho chuckled, putting some pieces of jisung's hair behind his ear.
jisung shook his head.
"our backs will be killing us tomorrow if we fall asleep here."
"then how about you stayed over? in my room?"
Minho asked.
jisung looked at him, a little shock evident on his tired looking face.
"it's already dark, and it's dangerous to go home this late."
Minho said.
"and besides, my bed is big enough for both of us. especially if you will stay this cuddled up to me the entire night."
jisung snorted.
"okay then. but...do you have anything that I could wear to sleep?"
"definitely."
minho nodded.
"you can borrow some of my clothes."
jisung smiled a little shyly, resting his head on Minhos chest again.
"then should we go inside?"
minho nodded.
"as much as I don't want to move, if we don't move now, we will fall asleep here. and I don't want you getting sick."
jisung chuckled, before he slowly got up, minho doing the same, and they walked into the main house, holding hands on their way there.
